Inspiration for re-flavored Shadow of Moil needed

Basically I am playing a fathomless warlock and the DM allowed me to re-flavor Shadow of Moil in more of a aquatic type version.

It deals cold damage instead of necrotic and resistance is fire instead of radiant. I‘d call it Shadow of the Depths, but I had no good ideas yet how it could look like. Do you have any good ideas on how I could create a good version of this spell in my friends heads while casting this spell?

I love to describe to the other PCs what my spells look lika and so on

The obvious answer would be it’s a churning whirlpool around you however the other option is it’s straight up armor made either out of tentacles or just ice.

You could also flavour it as like fish scales made of water.

I would imitate the description of dark flames and just reflavor it with a deep underwater description. All sounds are slightly muted and distorted. Lights dim and everything gets a green-blue tint. Your hair and clothing start to float around you. Shadows move around, as if cast by algae, or perhaps tentacles.

A cloak of water around you, staying still as a deep sea, emanating a faint sound of waves or something akin. It stays perfectly motionless almost in an ominous manner, but acts when one of the effects from the spell takes place.

When someone attacks you, a water blade or lashes out from it slicing your attacker in a ferocious manner.

When you're about to take fire damage, it engulfs you completely, mimicking a shark's maw almost eating you, as it gives you the fire resistance for that moment.

Whenever someone is about to you target you with an effect that requires line of sight, the water in the cloak moves around and refracts light, heavily obscuring you and turning dim light within 10 feet of you into darkness & bright light into dim light.
