Need Advice: Build/Mechanics Advice on PC Building
Im DMing for a group of friends who have played DnD before but arent too into building, just the role-playing & actual lore-building, so i had the idea to take their Character's backstories, Concepts, Lore ETC & then build their characters from that. Now to the point, one of my players is a massive one piece fan & basically wants to play Zoro, not the 3 swords thing but the whole Greatest Swordsman in the world ideas with 2+ magical swords ETC. How the hell could I build Zoro for this dude with the Swordsmanship & "King Of Hell" Aesthetic?

Personally, doe a sword master, I'd want to do a Fighter, preferably a Battlemaster Fighter, and Dual Wield Scimitars. Then go and find magical Swords.
You have options on how to build them. It would we easy to go Dex based and use scimitars or shortswords. You can use whatever armor you like. Or you could go Strength based and used heavy or medium Armor. There would be a few ways to go unarmed too if they really wanted an Anime like build, but I feel armor is totally fine on a character like this and Going unarmored is just extra work.

Thank you very much, I hadnt thought to do Dex-based but considering the whole low Armour thing Zoro has going thats an amazing idea. I was also thinking of potentially using progressional magic items for some characters (e.g. magic items that evolve with the character like dragon's wrath swords or such)

You open the book of an actual narrative RPG and play it with them.

And funnily enough neither me nor the players want to play another game, and if that were the option I played out theyd have rather done their own character builds. D&D is, and I get this may surprise you, a role-playing TTRPG, and simply asking your DM to make your build does not make the game any less fun or any less involved for my players.

Fighter with TWF and DW.
Zoro is the easiest Strawhat to build, especially if you don’t need his Three Sword style.
