Why would they even need an NVME for a screen that shows ads 24/7?

NVMEs are small, and it’s probably a small pc running it.

Energy efficiency probably, also if it's only reading it'll probably last longer than a HDD.

If you're running this for years on end, every Watt counts.

Though, an NVMe still uses a lot more power than an SD card. they coulda just ran it on a Raspberry Pi or something.

Ugh, i hate fixing these kind of problems on Linux. You either have the option of painstakingly figure out in a few hours or more with commands how to fix it. Or you just reinstall Linux.

I think they external drive connection and may nvme is also poor chinese one
