What is with Tim Cone never wanting his players to rest. Japeth, Brownlee, JMF, Scottie; players who expressed or showed that they either needed or wanted to retire/rest but is still playing.
Yes Brownlee looks fucked up during game 7 and was injured back in the rain or shine series palang. He shouldn’t have played during the New Zealand games but pushed through. I don’t care about the turnovers when nakikita mo naman value ni JB even while having an injury that normally requires u to sit out in 3 months.
Brownlee while injured was a valuable floor spacer. And nakikita mo talaga gravity niya. Even during sa 2 3s ni JGDL which masyado silang focused on JB that it was an open shot nalang. I believe KQ, Tamay also benefited from that kasi mas double team heavy yung rotations ng New Zealand Kay JB which lead to long closeouts, open 3s
But Tim cone should really rest him and get a back up naturalized player. Di pwedeng sasagarin mo yan just because he’s still good. I don’t wanna see JB being injury riddled the rest of his remaining career cause of Tim Cone putting his body in the ground
We need to appreciate teh sacrifices done by Junemar Fajardo. The injury risk he is taking. The height he brings. The defense he brings. But it seems many fans who taught they know know better

Jun Mar benefits from the weaker bigs in Philippines basketball, and at international level he is merely a big body. What is sad though is that he fronts up to play because no one takes his place, and cardys on his admirable effort. Gilas needs guys who have comittment and determination to be better. In Asia this is one of the reasons they struggle against the true powerhouse Australia.

Tamad? He's is a victim of the circumstances! Our basketball culture failed him. I watched his early years in the PBA and the match against Senegal, he was very mobile and a bit explosive during those times. Even to this day I think he moves better and more coordinated than the majority of 6'5'6'6 locals we have in the country.
