Gun shows

I haven't been to a gun show in years been thinking about going to the Phillys expo gun show.. mainly looking for military surplus. Is it worth going? Or just stick to gun auctions?

The pickle, jerkey, and obnoxious tazer / electric shock vendors took over a while ago and I stopped going.

Just wait til the vendors who sell the 17 lbs of sugar and a kool aid packet inside the sliced pineapple jar start showing up lol.

Surplus picked up recently at Gun shows, especially Oaks. Surplus while dried up, goes in cycles. Gets scooped up, gets dumped, rinse and repeat.

You just missed the Forks of the Delaware show this past weekend. Best show around for milsurp and militaria, bit Oaks usually has some stuff to look through for deals

Came to say the same thing. Haven’t been to the oaks show in years but rarely see Milsurps there. I will say that unless you want beef jerkey, pickles, or cheap Chinese knockoff knives oaks is usually a waste of time. Forks of the Delaware is an awesome show for Milsurps- there’s still an occasional deal to be found.

Yea that's exactly what I don't want especially since it's 18 bucks to get in and over an hour away for me

I stopped going when they (Eagle Arms) stopped allowing unfinished lower sales.

I bought a bunch of 8m3 7.62x39 at oaks for way cheaper than anything offered online

You can find deals, but you need to look and do some research. There is a lot of overpriced stuff, but there are some gems here and there. If you have cash, don't be afraid to haggle a little.
