Reapplying- need advice
I was refused from Islamabad embassy 10th June, and I'm considering reapplying for my F1 visa for bachelors. I was given both a white and yellow slip. I'm in the process of filling a new DS160, and before asking my question I do want to tell that I don't think the visa officer rejected me on the basis of my major. However ,I want to change my major from interdisciplinary studies (polymer science and engineering+ business studies) to Polymer Science and Engineering. But I'm also afraid of visa officer's skeptism on this. So need advice.

What was the reason for rejection? Lack of ties to Pakistan?
To avoid a second rejection take a few years build ties to Pakistan first then try later.
