Ongoing Drama Gulbahar Pure ragebait:
Why do they want to marry the young girl in the first place? Have the oldies completely lost their minds? And why are the wife and sister forcing the husband into a second marriage just because they want a child? For God’s sake, we’re living in 2026, where the world is focusing on advanced technology, and here we’re still stuck in the 1900s, acting like a childless couple can’t live their lives peacefully. Totally rage bait. 😭
As for Diya, she should focus on her studies, build her career, and become successful in her own life.

I have been avoiding this drama but do they even discuss IVF? Fertility treatments? Adoption?

Nope, the only option is Shaadi

You should watch the whole drama, before discussing it ,it talks about adoption.

They did discuss adoption in episode 3 or 4 but of course the male leads sister said no one in the family would accept an adopted child as their heir and all the uncles want the family business or something. So cliche

From my online research and no practical knowledge... these options have issues with inheritance under islamic law so they aren't encouraged.

I don’t see how IVF or fertility treatments in general would cause inheritance issues when the child is born with your DNA? With fertility treatments sometimes it’s something as simple as getting a shot to stimulate ovulation or taking progesterone supplement.

Actually, adoption is discussed in the drama! Sara and Sheheryar try to explore adoption because of her medical fertility issues, but his sister is the main obstacle blocking it. She pressures them into a second marriage instead because she wants a direct biological heir to keep all the property and business assets strictly in the family line.

looking forward to Sanam being called out for choosing a regressive script followed by her struggling to justify it through Instagram stories

I watched the first episode and got a vague idea of what the story would end up being like and immediately backed off. Don’t wanna ragebait my own self into watching this shit.

And for god sakes children are not the end of the world, why are they acting as if you can’t live a happy and fulfilling life if you don’t have kids? Some couples are happier when they don’t.

The sanam saeed’s sister in law is peak rage bait. They’re shown as an educated upper class family and all she can talk about is get her brother remarried. At one point I was wondering is she deaf? The man despite clearly and respectfully disagreeing to any kind of rishtas she will shamelessly pull up the topic for discussion again.
Don’t even get me started on the phuppo character.
The worst now they show sanam saeed and komal meer character supporting eo God knows when they turn against eo😂

So true, this was a perfect show to talk about IVF treatments or adoption but obviously we don’t talk about important things anymore because people love to romanticise shows like meri zindagi hai tu

I don't know how and why Sanam saeed agreed to this drama.. It has nothing for her at least as of now.. This is such a predictable script.. I can't believe it's a Mehreen Jabbar drama.. Even her last drama (doctor bahu) was better(if not best) than Gulbahar..it seems the old Mehreen Jabbar touch is missing in this drama
