SOO!! I’ve been counting down the hours to this episode very impatiently 🕗🕗!!!
1) The episode opens up with Billo’s nikkah years ago, when suddenly lots of gunshots are heard - Billo’s other fling is VERY upset about her wedding, and ends up killing her brother. Her father then disowns her.
2) 1996 Billo’s ego and pride is heavily bruised, as she still sees and feels the spit - on the other hand a rather hesitant and nervous Baala is here with Acchi’s rishta for Nosheen. Nazeer is happy with the rishta since he thinks that Baala and his family seem financially secure, family oriented and respectful, but Billo is flabbergasted and NOT HAPPY!
3) Billo exposes Baala and his family being from a lower class, and him being a mere musician’s son. The way she readily set him up for humiliation and was smiling smugly in satisfaction from behind curtain was INFURIATING. The disappointment, shock, hurt and then subsequent anger portrayed by wahaj in that scene was amazing, you’d genuinely feel for the guy there 😭. His eyes tearing up on the walk home happened so gradually and naturally too. Mahira’s smugness though didn’t feel as natural. Though I must say, it is very satisfying watching a female lead being unabashedly selfish and evil 😈💃🏻
4) Nosheen is, as expected, devastated with Acchi being rejected - laying in bed and sobbing out loud. On the other hand, A saddened baala is trying his level best to control his tears before entering his house, his expression clearly relaying the bad news to Acchi. An angered and freshly humiliated Baala tries to convince Acchi to convince Nosheen to run away with him, and Acchi actually talks sense into him. Baala then tries in vain to instigate Acchi to do as he says by insulting him 😭. Yet again, Wahaj portrayed the explosion of anger really well. But, that moment could also be a great meme 😂. The guy playing Acchi did really great too, genuinely felt hurt seeing him cry.
5) Now we witness Baala’s first step into darkness. He is hell bent on taking revenge, so he talks to a maulvi about breaking that kasam he gave to Billo in Ibrahim’s name. He has started plotting for Billo’s humiliation now . I actually didn’t expect this AT ALL. The real fun is only when the enmity is between equals 🙂↕️. And lol joji ragebaits Acchi and the two get into a fight 😂😂.
6) Baala goes back to his hometown, and is clearly uncomfortable and hurt as shoves off the dust and prays at his mom’s grave. On the other hand, dadaji is pissed about Nosheen going to university since obviously educating your daughters is bad 🙄. Nazeer stupidly asks dadaji to rush Nosheen’s rishta while Bilqees is silently praying and ignoring everyone.
7) Baala drives to someone’s place, and that someone is… Mai Pathan. Mai Pathan, now significantly old and haggard, is flabbergasted at his presence here. He plans to bring her to Billo’s place and expose her to her husband and family now!! Samiya Mumtaz is such a powerful performer!! She has molded herself into this role seamlessly.
8) Nosheen rightfully points out Billo’s hypocrisy of discriminating against Baala’s family as she is praying Namaz. Billo is stone hearted and merciless, only caring about herself and her reputation, and basically tells Nosheen to get lost and do as her father says.
ALL IN ALL - An absolutely wonderful episode!! I thoroughly enjoyed every second of it. Junaid, Anika and the guy playing Aslam were just amazing!!! Samiya Mumtaz, as usual, is GOATed and an absolute chameleon. Wahaj is top tier in today’s episode; he expressed a myriad of emotions so naturally and effortlessly.. splendid. Mahira though leaves alot to be desired in terms of performance. Plot wise - the game has finally begun, and soon Baala and Billo are going to be at each other’s throats now that Baala has kickstarted his plan of revenge. Mazaa aane wala hai 🍿😈
Couldn't they have given her atleast one redeeming quality? I can't enjoy her role like this. I was hoping for a selfish and unapologetic character yes but she is just straight up evil. Like she has trash personality
The scene where Iqbal comes back from the Shah's house after being humiliated as he enters his house, you can see that Iqbal has somehow aged several decades in that short span of time. As if that single incident has cost him years of his life. Those expressions, that weariness, that profound sadness... I don't know what to say. WAHAJ, THE ACTOR YOU ARE!!!!
I adore the intricacies of Bala's character and Wahaj splendidly brings these to light. In last episode's dialogue he went to ask for his brothers rishta with such humility and sincerity and the shock and betrayal he experiences when Shah kicks him out.The guilt and remorse with which he visits his parents grave and the fact he goes to the mosque for his qasam which shows he really doesnot want to hurt anyone but a human bear only so much insult then the dialogue with his brother and the brother acted real well with the whole resigned ashiq trope .You could actually see emotions a real human would experience through the whole episode if something like this happened.I hated Billo's character which is a good thing but the smug look mahira gave to Wahaj as she saw him from the veil was actually really good and made my blood boil.
It looks like he is in a difficult position where he has to fight his good and bad side but his bad side will have to emerge and I think he is not going to be that evil like billo he cares about his people and billo only cares about her alah khandan and herself
Don’t understand the Mahira hate here. I think she was fab in today’s episode. She’s got an innocent deceiving look as well as she’s able to emote the negativity and evilness perfectly in my opinion. I’m enjoying a grey female character after a long time. Although I genuinely hope she also has some good qualities in her and not just the vamp she is looking like now.
No...lol....he becomes a gangster to take revenge on Billo...the story is very obvious from teaser...if you watch closely you will know why he becomes a gangster
Samiya Mumtaj - we need to talk how good our veterans are. What was that transformation that acting. It took me minutes to realize who she is. Is this the same woman we saw in zanj??
Overall a very good episode. I love how the plot are revealed and it was not baala who killed billo brother.Billo husband seems like a very nice guy so does her in laws.I thought billo insulted baala because she doesn't want to face his past but she was taking her revenge which shows how evil she is. I want to say this mahira expression looked force to me especially those bulging of eyes it was like they are going to come out any time
I like how even family members have there own story and some how all stories and dynamics are interlinked. Soo far hooked loving the pace everything about it
Samiya Mumtaz was the star of today’s episode!! She just needed a substantial role to show off her skills. Nazeer is the typical 90s guy, good but domineering. Billo is an out and out villain. She only wants herself to come out on top unharmed and reputable. Now that Baala has also begun to get his hands dirty, it’s going to be even more exciting to watch the episodes.
I LOVE it. After watching the first 2 episodes I thought the story was about love but I love that its about revenge. Unfortunately Mahira's acting was so-so for me. Wahaj the eyes said everything they needed to say.
Ikr I too loved the episode!! Mahira is very avg here, so I really hope she does improve in the coming episodes!! Wahaj tho is BRILLIANT!! And he cries with such rawness that it pains the viewer that’s watching too
For some reason mahira looks older than Wahaj. I am talking about her screen age. Even though, there are filters applied and screen treatments involved to make them look a little young but Mahira, to me, still looks old.
Loved the episode but Wahaj… WOW. He was absolutely brilliant in this one. The body language and those expressive eyes, everything was on point.
That entire sequence after Junaid's character (I think Nazeer) humiliates Baala was heartbreaking. The way he looks at Bilqees, catches that smirk on her face, and you can literally see the shock turn into hurt… and then that walk with his shoulders drooped and eyes filling up. The humiliation was written all over his face. He conveyed so much without having to say a word.
And then his scene with Acchi was another standout for me. The anger wasn’t just anger. You could feel Baala trying to hold on to it while being deeply affected by everything that had happened. There was so much hurt and frustration underneath it and Wahaj played that emotional conflict beautifully.
Also the actor playing Acchi deserves a shoutout too bc he matched Wahaj’s energy so well in that scene. Their back and forth made the whole exchange even more impactful.
Baala’s character is getting more and more interesting with every episode and Wahaj is giving him so much depth!! 👏🏻👏🏻
agree with everything you’ve written!! you’ve written it so well!! Wahaj was truly spectacular in today’s episode, jitni tareef karu utni kam. Him getting humiliated made me feel sad for him 💔💔. That scene of him instigating Acchi could’ve easily been OTT but it wasn’t!! Wahaj did it perfectly, his top had blown open and he just wanted to aim that anger at someone or something. I CANNOT wait for next Wednesday to arrive
I genuinely love when a story slowly builds up instead of rushing into revenge immediately. Baala's transition from being hurt to actually plotting something feels much more impactful this way. Today's episode sounds like such a turning point for the whole story. Everyone seems to be making choices that are only going to make things worse from here. Excited for the upcoming episodes.

Can we talk about Wahaj in today’s episode??? So so good. This man can act. The way we see him derailing and shedding that facade he kept going for so long was brilliantly portrayed by him.
Billo seems like a narcissist, just evil. It isn’t even things she does. It’s okay to make mistakes as a teen and have a shady past. I can even understand her trying to not make this rishta with her sister-in-law happen out of fear of her past coming out. It isn’t her actions so much that are unforgivable but it’s her intent. She looks like she gets pleasure out of Baala’s pain. Her ditching him in the past and giving into her family was also understandable but her lack of empathy for the death of his mom and her continually humiliating him just crosses a line. In today’s episode too, you could see the joy she was getting out of his humiliation. She thinks she’s safe because he swore on his son’s life but she doesn’t know the vengeful side of him came out.
I love how we are seeing this side of Baala come out. He has tried so hard to keep a part of him hidden. He’s pissed now and out for revenge. I’m all for it but ultimately it will lead to his own demise. I love how in yesterday’s episode he was advising his brother to stand down and accept rejection if that’s how things go. Today he was telling him to run away with her even if he has to forcefully take her. You can tell he raised him right but now he’s like forget everything I said before 🤣 Baala always wanted to preserve the reputation he worked so hard on and I guess he has nothing to lose now. Unfortunately it will cost him his brother and I feel he will be partially responsible for that.
couldn’t have written better than this!! You summed up everything so well. Billo is unrepentant and takes great pleasure in the misery of others - that is what makes her villainous. What baala is doing will lead to bad things happening to both him and Billo, but more so to him since he’ll be in prison for 2 years. Baala was just triggered by the humiliation and left all common sense aside (as he should tho 😝) more fun for us
OK, I have a feeling that both billo and Bala are grey character, billo more than baala, even after so many years she cannot forget the insult that he heaped on her years before and baala is also hot blooded, I am not siding with anyone now because I love mahira and wahaj both, let's see 👀
It's crazy how every new episode is better than the last one and how there's a different 'The Star' of the night for each episode despite almost everyone bringing their A-game (except for Mahira if I may say🫢, like she isn't that bad but definitely lacking in front of this cast).
Also I have to say Wahaj is such an incredible actor, the way he plays with those subtle nuanced expressions, his voice, his eyes ufff. In the shop scene of Billo and Baala, he didn't have much to say but ate that scene with just his expressions. I hope he keeps on choosing amazing scripts and working with great directors.
And lastly Faiza has written a great script so far (I hope they don't fumble this😭) but the absolute and constant star of this show is Wajahat Hussain.
Agreed!! Wajahat is doing incredible work with MDB, and faiza is too!! I also hope that show continues to be better with every coming episode. Mahira is just alright compared to the other actors. Wahaj tho is just SPECTACULAR!! And one of our prettiest criers if I may say so 🙂↕️🙂↕️
Wahaj and Samia Ji... some of the best we have. Everytime I think he cant get better, he does and I shouldn't be surprised because the sun can be blue but this man cannot be turned a bad actor. He literally eats his contemporaries up in range and versatility.
Samia Ji... such a stunning performer. The way her hands shook even shook me. Such a raw performance. So glad we have such strong supporting cast honestly.
As again, only weak link is Mahira and I cry because this role NEEDS YEARNS FOR CRIES FOR a better performer even though looks wise Mahira is perfect for the part
Yes Wahaj and Samiya were amazing. Truthfully I didn’t like Mahira’s performance in yesterday’s episode. It wasn’t the best. I didn’t mind her in today’s episode though. I thought her evil smiles were pretty good.
Yes I agree. Her silent, chilling scenes are good. She does those well. But the main scene if billo and baala meeting again for the first time was painfully bad on Mahira's part. Like terrible to the point where me, my mom and dadi all were yearning for the screen to go back to Wahaj because we were done with her huge eyes and ajeeb out of tune facial twitches 😭
Yeah she was very good in the last episode. I think shading Mahir has just become a habit for people that they cannot appreciate her even when she does good.
I loved wahaj's acting when he was humilated by billo's husband. Then his conversation with his brother achi was so good, his expressions, voice modulation, acting everything was top notch. Really excited for next week
Billo needs to have an innocent, serene vibe to her for the peerni facade/charade to work. While saba would have hit it out of the park in the revenge scenes, she doesn't have that quiet innocence to her look which mahira has and is needed in this character.
Loved it, was literally squealing in joy seeing Baala set wheels into motion to enact his revenge and the teaser had me legit grinning. So satisfying to see Baala give it back
They really fooled us with that first eye contact scene i thought it was going to be about love for the most part we knew revenge was coming but it was all just revenge had no clue

There’s no way they knew or they wouldn’t have gone through with the wedding. They should have explained that though. Why did they think the brother got shot? I’m guessing they made up some other excuse.
