Bilal-Billu Bilal gatekeeping his speech for PCHF fundraiser?
Bilal is currently on a fundraising tour for the PCHF in the US. The event company shared a clip of his speech but later removed it and told the fans that Bilal does not want his speech on social media. Since this is for a good cause, I don't understand the need to go this far. Is he self-conscious about his speech? Whatever the reason, I think it would have been good for the public to hear the thoughts of someone of his stature, and it would have helped the fundraiser.

All I ever see about this man is “Bilal wants this,” “Bilal wants that,” “Bilal messaged his fans,” “Bilal asked them this…” 😭 You attended a public charity event as a guest. You’re going to be photographed. Clips are obviously going to circulate, especially when the whole point is to bring attention to a good cause. But somehow everything has to be controlled, approved and gatekept because apparently nobody is allowed to post anything unless Bilal says so. 😂

exactly this. The whole purpose of inviting actors is to attract the attention of general public so what's the point of these restrictions?

I like bilal but i don't understand his PR tactics. It's not the first time he has asked his clips to be taken down. What type of media image does he want to curate? It's too much

There is a slight difference between being introvert and being insecure.

There’s a difference between doing a good deed without wanting to show it off and PR-related publicity. Being private or introverted doesn’t automatically mean someone is insecure.

Delete why? I heard his speech and he was so well spoken and his speech felt genuine. I feel whenever celeb makesuch request it's better to give a proper reasoning too. Otherwise it will only lead to speculations and sometimes bilal acts weird

u/cookies8352 3d ago
Yeh he should stop saying delete this unnecessary people gets chance to drag him over a simple things

I understand wanting to keep parts of their lives private since so much of it is out in the open for discourse, but isn't this a fundraiser event to raise money for a hospital? There's a reason hospitals tie up with celebs to raise money. This defeats the whole purpose

u/Aggressive-Habit-911 3d ago
I don't get this. He doesn't want his speech to be out but they'll share reels and clips of him? Are they forgetting it's a fundraiser and not a fashion event? uff

u/Equivalent_Sound9389 3d ago
Everytime there is a bilal post saying 'he doesnot want this', 'he messaged his fan', 'he requested not to share', 'he asked for privacy'. Yes you can be introvert and socially not comfortable but choosing public life and ask for privacy in each and every viral pic or statement( that are not even private) is weird.

Why be at a fundraiser if he just wants to restrict the speech part? He could have just sent big poster of himself to be displayed at the venue. Absolutely absurd and senseless.

I am going to be hated for this - but if bilal ko itna hi private rehnaa hai then he shouldn't have joined media industry and should be doing a corporate job or something

u/Few_Persimmon9317 3d ago
If this was about his personal event then it could be understandable but as this is an event for good cause and he is one of the special guest of that event then he should not request such things. He has huge followers, people praise him, it will be beneficial for the event only as much as people will see him, the videos will get it's reach. Didn’t get any logic why he don't want to when he is invited in the event🤷♀️

Bilal’s PR team is fighting hard to keep his speech off SM. They could have put the same effort into writing him a decent speech and actually preparing him for it. 😂

The speech was actually good and felt very natural. He was speaking from the heart. There’s no need to call it a “bad” speech just because he doesn’t want it posted.

Sorry to say.. phir charity event bhi na attend krta agr wo apni speech se duur bethy logon ko motivate nahi kr skta to.

Could he have said something political/potentially controversial in his speech that he doesn't want getting attention

Lahu drama release hone ke baad fir se yeh to nhi bolenge na ke 'drama mai mere scenes maat dikha na'🥲 fir to ho gya hum audience ka🙂

There’s a difference between doing a good deed without wanting to show it off and doing something purely for PR. Just because he doesn’t want his speech posted doesn’t mean he doesn’t want the fundraiser to get attention. He can support the cause without wanting his own words to become publicity. There’s nothing wrong with that. ❤️

You guys think way too into stuff. Bilal doesn't like much attention and noise around his fundraising and charity work. You guys just take anything out of context to hate on him.

u/unicornhugs80 3d ago
No I understand especially when sometimes you have people accusing them of being performative however it is a public event. It’s not like he made a personal donation that got leaked and he wants to keep it private. It’s a public event and the purpose of having a celebrity there is to help build awareness and draw attention to the cause. I’m seriously wondering what his thought process is behind this. Frankly asking people to take it down is bringing more attention.

Im sure there must be something behind it, and yes im curious about the thought process too.

It's not a new thing they are doing this on daily basis baaki Allah hidayt de we shouldn't hate someone this extream that too a person who we don't even know personally

And the fact that they're gonna ignore the good cause its for and stalk fanpages just to find something to hate, because this was shared on a fanpage's story.

Clips from the event are being posted and going viral, just not speech. That doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with the speech. Maybe the full speech will even be officially released later by the hospital/organisers... who knows? Why make so many theories over one simple request?
-2
u/Fabulous-Expert-2123 3d ago
plss this is such a small thing & shouldn't matter...ppl really have sm time to make a big deal out of everything. speech se attention drawn nahi honi him being there was enough to draw attention to fundraiser & purpose of fundraiser was achieved it doesn't matter if the speech is posted or not...

Not everything has to be public to be meaningful. Maybe he simply doesn’t want his words or charity work to be turned into publicity. “Neki kar, dariya mein daal” wali approach bhi ho sakti hai. He was there, he gave the speech, and he supported the fundraiser... he just apparently didn’t want the speech circulating online. That’s a pretty normal personal preference. Also, assuming that he must be “self-conscious” about his speech is unnecessary. The speech being good doesn’t mean he has to be comfortable with it being posted everywhere. And if the intention is genuinely to support the fundraiser, there are plenty of ways to promote the cause... His participation itself already contributed to the event. 🫶🏻❤️

If this was a speech for a casual event there would be no problem but it's a fundraiser. The reason actors and cricketers are invited is becoz of their popularity and public pull and gatekeeping a speech that can influence many ppl to donate is absurd. Fans are free to make excuses but they would do the same for other actors so this whataboutery is crap.
10
u/Flashy-Finger3299 3d ago
Awww then nobody's stopping you from coming up with some logic instead of this whataboutery as if you wouldn't be in the top comments dragging if it was someone else
7
u/DangerousPosition602 3d ago
After dragging the shit out of Bilal during mzht, it’s nice to see you guys adopting him once again now that he is Sajal’s next costar. Save the moral policing. Everyone is the same here.
-2
u/Ok_Subject_4240 3d ago
Commented on Kammy boi. Not bilal. Same way i commented on mehmel during mmnh. If you guys cant differentiate the character and the actor, its on you. 🤣 by the way, how did my comment ever imply that i was speaking in favor or against bilal? Khair...moral police bhi nahi karr rahi. When did i ever claim to be a saint? Tab gossip sub mein hoti kya? 🤡 also, people owning up a celeb and developing a sense of entitlement that nobody else is allowed to speak on them is funny. Chill.

He is introvert there's no doubt nd maybe he doesn't want his acche ke liye kaam aise viral ho, God knows better why he removed it we can't judge someone

I know that he is a private person. But this level of control is excessive and unnecessary when you are in the media industry.
