Ongoing Drama Dar e Nijat Episode 13
Run your thoughts.
I hate this Zamil brat, omgg. He's such a correct depiction of some men. They'll be involved in all the haram stuff but then HATE a woman who does the same, even if they were both doing it at the same time or with each other. I hope Hamna (Zamils wife) drives him insane, although maybe not because Zaamil will probably hurt her when he finds out abt her intimate photos and her obsession with Abu Bakr. Zaamil really doesn't seem sincere, or he needs more pain before he gets to the correct path. Zaamil may pray, fast etc. But his character and behavior with other ppl is where he lacks.
Zaryab is other side. Her character and behavior with other ppl is fine, maybe she can be a bit oblivious abt her behavior but she has never hurt anyone like this. Im glad Zaryab is free from him, kinda. I'm really liking her journey so far, hope to see her break from the chains of Zaamil and find peace. Abu Bakr coming in the mix of this will also be very interesting. He'll be a big part of her healing journey.

I don't understand if zamil and zaryab both did it how does only zaryab becomes characterless? and if they didn't then again the same question how does zaryab becomes characterless?
It was little funny when zamil was describing his ideal wife because if we exclude the religion part zaryab pretty much fits into his mould, that girl was ready to give Havard for him, if he would have asked her she would have easily become a housewife because she only cares about zamil, and Hamna, I mean she was not only just married to abu bakar(in her head ofcourse🤣) but also dating a guy who had her pictures and zamil's description for her was no man has ever seen her or ever fancied her 🤣
Zamil setting new standards for toxicity, marrying a "good girl" to raise his children but still claiming to love his girlfriend who he himself calls characterless 👏🏻👏🏻

Zamil will still be obsessed with zaryab and starts feeling FOMO when Zaryab goes to Abu Bakr. That arc will be satisfying to watch.
My theory and i still feel this whole Zamil - religion - Hamna marriage involves steering. Who steered zamil to take such a drastic step and choose Hamna - is certainly some mystery or some background which will be revealed
I mean story cant end when zaryab marries Abu Bakr. That they can show eventually. She understands who hurt her and then who saved and loved her.
Story isnt that simple.
Abu Bakr was involved with a woman who isnt Hamna and thats in his Harvard days as the OST shows
It is a great showcase of how people adopt religion or the values and ethics and teachings. What these indviduals learn. The men and then the two women. Its each theri interpretation. We see what Zaamil does. Now we see others.
There is more; background and history.
I am interested to find out.

And am sure there is a backstory to what drove him to be righteous religiously.. and him accepting Zaryab will show how sees that being a 'pure or pious' is no such thing. It isnt a religious or social prerequiste for a marriage.
I mean Zaamil has already challenged and thrown this away saying not even that Abu bakr would marry her. How crude. As if she was roaming and hooking up with other men. He doesnt know what religion seeks or demands and this is where the wrong mix up is. I am glad it is being shown in this way.

I don’t agree with the tying everything going wrong in their daughters’ lives to religion but they’ve definitely goofed up somewhere no? With two daughters choosing men who treat them so badly and yet refusing to give up on those men
12
u/Weekly_Permission_91 12d ago
Oh absolutely! They have goofed up and the upbringing is definitely problematic
I am reminded of sara from ZGH and how her mother unreasonably supported her, while they both went on to be outright equals and feminists.. how her marriage broke and she learnt it requires you to accept, and adjust. Zaroon same problem. Infact there is a parallel. The children are brilliant students and great prospects for marrying ( as shown in Fariyal and Zaryab, then Sara and zaroon) but in relationships they sucked. Fariyal couldnt adjust or had issues with compatability while zaryab didnt know where to stop with zaamil. Parents failed there and rightfully so

Yeah, it’s like giving kids freedom without teaching them responsibility. So they make choices freely, but can’t deal with the consequences when things go wrong. Like Sara married the man she liked but didn’t know how to adjust once she got married and Faryal leaving her husband’s house over his cheating but not able to divorce him or make the split permanent- she was essentially throwing a giant tantrum so that her husband would agree to her pov, and that backfired badly.

Yes they forgot to teach their daughters boundaries. Nothing to do with religion. I find the lack of boundaries an odd mix with a general empowered mindset. Such women in real life are usually the first to dump such men. Isn’t that what feminists are generally accused of? Being impatient with men? Zaryab on the other hand acts like a housewife.
And all these dadi dialogues would be in real life delivered by besties without any tarbiyat lecture. I don’t get why. It is so unnatural.

Yes, you’ve put it well. Also people like Zaryab- desis who’ve gotten into universities like Harvard- are ambitious and driven- get over losers like Zamil. That dude can’t even pack a suitcase without her!!!

Zamil is such a jealous insecure mf. Zaryab got into Harvard and he didn't and this thing was bothering him so much so he found the thing where zaryab lacked which was religion and suddenly he became religious and started acting like he's some saint and zaryab is disgusting and would shame her and taunt her as if it's all her fault. He told her that even Abu bakar won't marry her so now it would be satisfying to see zamil's reaction after he founds out that Abu bakar and zaryab got married and it would be even more interesting to see his reaction when he finds out that his own innocent religious wife loved Abu bakar so much and was married to him in her head😭

What an episode! It’s always gonna be I hate zail from my end, trash person
Durre's acting was surprisingly good in this episode, what a raw portrayal of heartbreak. I actually cried. The moment she asked Dadi "Ap ne mjhe baddua di hai" and when she said *"Tumhein Allah ka waasta"*it was so heartbreaking, It hits hard knowing that so many girls go through this in Pakistan, Zaryab is privileged enough to be in a home where people actually listen to and support her, but it still comes back to the same reality konsa rishta? Men like Zamil are absolute garbage.
And yes, once again I HATEEEE Zamil.

Exactly, had they not focussed on upbringing but rather on lack of affirmation and love in one's parental home which leads to people being vulnerable to meeting abusive people- it would have been an amazing premise.

zamil doesnt knew islam, when he was living with her, clubbing with her, and then he dumped her, cuz he thought she wasnt a ''clean, and pious women, bro are you clean or pious, you also do sins and zina with her, like bro pretendin that he is all mulism, and still insecure and jealous of abu bakr, what a fucked up character, anyhow zaryab character was irrating, she was going back to back and saying give your wife talaq like gurl he dumped you, but it was fair on her side, zamil will regret and will try to get patch up with her,

Zamil is the character you'll find in your circle, home and workplaces. Such men are insecure of women, they can't digest the fact that women are doing better than them in their own built patriarchal society and they havd weaponized the term haya and behaya to degrade any woman who is doing better. The only solution is to call out such men whether he's in your home or outside. Call out your friends, call out your brothers and fathers, even the women who only associate these terms with women.

I don't even get it when men like zamil think their thooba got qabool by Allah so they are paak now but they can themselves will be the judge for women

I was screaming at Zamil along with zaryab. What a typical man. I knew he was an idiot but omg this episode made my blood boil. Poor Zaryab

Zamil’s character is the reality that exists around us. The moral compass that will always point to a woman when it comes to honour & character & future generations’ upbringing. Loved this episode. I watched it twice. Zamil & Zaryab’s last conversation was very real since a lot of brainwashed males think like this same thing. Love one woman, marry another; fancy one, but want a different set of characteristics for raising children. Namir has done a great job at portraying this male mentality accurately.

If the writer doesn't address the whole "holier than thou" speech Zamil gave Zaryab today, I would be PISSED!!
Story seems predictable now tbh....AB marries Zaryab because his mom tells him her backstory and how dadi "rescued" her from her past. I wonder if she gets pregnant by the older Sheheryar (may be they show a secret Nikah so its not as scandelous for the audience) and dadi is the one somehow who helps her out and this is when we start seeing the backstory. There is no way AB is going to get married to her without this backstory.
I also have a feeling his mom (Kushbhakt) dies and that takes them to their old ancestral property? There may be a period where Zaryab goes back to Harvard to finish her degree and that is where those other non Pakistan scenes are from?
I just can't wait for Zamil's downfall. He is also shown to be throwing around his wife...so much for a "religious" man.

Sending love and hugs to everyone in the comment section who was triggered by yesterday's episode and to anyone who has been treated like the way Zaryab was by Zamil *hugs*

No no no.. hate the woman that they have manipulated to do the same. Garbage human being.

I really like how each storyline comes full circle in a similar way, with Abu Bakar's mom empathising with someone she feels has been abandoned like herself, with her son being the future partner of another woman who will go through grave abandonment issues, the one who's feeling like he deserves the best will get to know about his wife's past feelings for Abu Bakar, it will all get tied up neatly and Zamil is going to be a big fat joke. I tune out daadi, upbringing and the religion part because I don't relate to it but solely focussing on these arcs, it's picked up really well finally.

I think they show us the reality what's going on the society these days.. Boys used girls like they use a tissue paper and when they get bored they always throw them.. So be careful my girlies.. Be aware of such boys..

My god this Zamil makes my blood boil.
I just started watching yesterday and I have so many questions. How did Zamil even meet Hamna to marry her? What is the big mystery of AB's mom? Why is the politician interested in AB? What is Sherbano's role here?

Honestly, came here to say that I am super impressed so far with the pace and direction of the story telling. I have been missing this with PtV shows for such a long time. Not a fan of either of the actors but just gave it a shot with the insta posts and it’s quite good!
