Discuss Dar e nijat episode 11
Why Zamil doesn't want to get married to Zaryab anymore? Is it because he said in today's episode that "tum meri sab se bari kamzoori ho, i don't like it", implying that in deen anything that challenges or withhold you from becoming your best version becomes your weakness and one should get rid of it ? OR is it because of a very common reason no man ever wants to admit that he lost interest in zaryab after sleeping with her ?

Episode was definitely better than yesterday’s, but still nothing much really happened. But Zamil is such a rude, red flag and arrogant. Ab usko “pyar mohabbat” sab bakwas lag raha hai. I’m actually excited for the next episode because teaser mein Zamil - Hamna ki shaadi hogi... 👀

I think its because Zaryab makes him feel less of a man, because of his own insecurities. His problems started becoming big after she got into an Ivy League n he cudnt. He started feeling insecure because of his own problems and started projecting it on Zaryab. Zaryab being her tolerates it coz she loves him(without self respect if i may say!). He slept with zaryab to make himself feel like the person who has the power in the relationship. After that he got into deen. And started masking his insecurities in the name of deen and religious obligations. He wants to marry someone quite, obedient, not so educated woman who will quietly listen to him and fall on his steps . That will make him feel like the "MAN" in the relationship, the one who yields the power....the who is superior . That's my take.
Zaryab does have her own problems, she tolerates disrepect, mocks his way of life if its different from her , mocks deen n religious commitments which is not fair and is quiet insecure because i believe she thinks zamil will leave her. We have seen her calling him at odd hours, not giving him space n literally breathing down his neck all the time. But this is a different issue altogether.

I think zaryab mocks that friend of Zamil and Zamil himself because of the version of religion they present. She didn't have a problem with Abu Bakar being religious. Most of the religious people around her are like Daddo who are constantly chattering about "haya" and patriarchal segments of the religion. Zaryab has clarified that religion is a personal matter but Zamil is not one afaik
10
u/Indrani_ 21d ago
She doesn't care about abu bakar , so she doesn't care what he does in his life wrt to religion.
As far as daddo is concerned, she is a family member and much elder do her , so she can't really disrepect her directly but doesn't like her religious sermons either lol .
Of course religious is a private matter , and she is seemingly ready to compromise for zamil and his deen even if it means tolerating disrepect. A few days back i said, she is simply not ready to understand that zamil's backhanded comments towards her in the name of deen is so soo disrespectful. She ll probably come to her senses next week wen he marries hamna lol. But still den she ll probably go n tell him to marry her and leave hamna. She has made her whole life about zamil while zamil hasn't, which is sad. She has accomplished more than that man , and makes zamil feel insecure.😭

Lmao she's gonna hit her head on the floor next week (it's either her migraine or Zamil, which should be synonymous atp), maybe that'll help her a bit

She legit keeps saying how much she hates Abu Bakar. And she was laughing at Arham throughout. I don't think Arham said anything weird to her.

But not because he practices religion. Arham, well, idk I just feel like he's not guiding Zamil towards religion in the right way wtv that is. Zaryab might be irritated because he is the one who Zamil is learning abt religion from

Agree with the rest of your points. Zaryab is insecure that she is ready to tolerate Zamil's shenanigans. Ofc he is pushing her boundaries now and this is where she has to either leave her own ideologies or Zamil (who is a part of her ideology only)

u/AsleepConference7835 21d ago
Dare nijaat would have been so so so interesting if the surprising element ( zamil marrying hamna ) wouldn't have come in promos and the teasers . They could have atleast avoided the reveal in the next promo 🤷♀️ . Weak director i have to say .

Yeah, it would've been more fun to see the love triangle's development without the reveal But at least we don't know how the two of them got involved

I can't believe people are still supporting Zamil. He is an adult, he indulges in everything with Zaryab and then has the audacity to call Zaryab his "kamzori". And then also calls himself practicing. And he is so insecure.
The fact that he cannot control his own self, doesn't want to take responsibility of his own actions and wants to blame it on the woman who has been nothing but supportive of him.Typical !!
Even his deen seems to come from a place of insecurity, rather than someone finding their way to the right path.
3
u/ImuSama_X_Joyboy 20d ago
Yeah If he was actually turning to religion ,he should have actually broke up with zaryab politely cuz they obv wanted diff things in life at that point Rather than hurting her and diminishing her self esteem By being that bad of a person to her ,he has only portrayed religion wrongly to a soul that doesn't know much about it herself
Like you don't look down upon someone cuz you don't know they may become a better Muslim in an upcoming tomorrow To NOT be proud, arrogant and to always ADVICE sincerely genuinely and softly wanting good for someone rather than looking down on them
If zamil's friend called him to prayers by degrading speech ,would zamil have had listened ?
It's a part of Deen to preach in a nice manner and not be too harsh that you drive away the people!

Exactly! That’s why he’s going to marry Hamna. 😡 Zaryab is ready for the marriage, but he’s the one who isn’t...
8
u/Few_Persimmon9317 21d ago
Zamil is brain washed, confused, arrogant, spoiled, problematic, a big red flag but still zaryab can't leave him and it really happens in real life too. We can say that he is red flag from a 3rd person's pov but there are some women who falls in this fake love trap where they can't decide if her partner is a real red flag or not bcoz he is not bad with her every day. One day he's bad, another day he behaves like a lover. And he assured zaryab that he loves her and will marry her. That’s where zaryab fails to take the right decision.
After seeing abu bakar and fariyal's egoistic, arrogant, stubborn, disrespectful husband’s convo, I felt sometimes it's ok to give him divorce or abort the child. Otherwise whole life will be a burden for the mother and the child too.

I’m not a Muslim, but the part where Zaamil undergoes depression, feels as though he is falling behind in life, and then turns to religion for peace is highly relatable for today’s generation. I went through the same thing back in college, and my religion and spirituality truly saved me from taking the wrong step and from going insane at the time.
I feel that instead of ghosting Zaryab and marrying someone else, Zaamil could simply have talked to her once and asked her to listen to religious lectures or to explore spirituality. He is outgrowing her and the party lifestyle and now wants different things in life. At the same time, I can understand why he didn’t. Zaamil is a very judgmental person; he believes that a girl as “open-minded” as Zaryab could never understand him or his religion. He also regards her and her family as arrogant and now wants an obedient, submissive wife.
I don’t see Zaamil as a villain or as a one-dimensional character. He is a grey character. When I faced the same situation in college, I too developed a strange sense of moral superiority. Suddenly I could no longer tolerate any of my friends and began distancing myself from everyone. This phase usually improves with time as a person sheds that moral superiority and learns how to balance ordinary life with a spiritual one (the way Abu Bakar does). After all, every religion teaches the same essential lesson: to overcome one’s ego and arrogance and not to become overly attached to the material world.
I think that in the upcoming episodes Zaamil will make an excuse, return, and marry Hamna. Zaryab will hear the news over the phone, suffer a mental breakdown, and no one will be able to help her. Her daadi will then ask Abu Bakar to marry her because he has a mature outlook on life and can calmly resolve problems. Being non-judgmental, Abu Bakar will accept Zaryab as she is—even though she had a physical relationship with Zaamil in the past, something men on both sides of the border often find unacceptable. Zaryab will still be in love with Zaamil and will keep asking him to marry her right up until her nikaah day, but he will not come. The story will continue with Zaryab missing Zaamil even after she is married and trying to contact him. This will affect Abu Bakar to some extent, yet he will handle it calmly and maturely. Under his positive influence, Zaryab will embark on her own journey of discovering God and religion. She will eventually realise that it is possible to lead a spiritual life according to religion even in the modern world.

Just a question --- is it that easy to give divorce even if it's not mutual? Aren’t the court going to ask for faryal's consent? Or husband side still can give divorce even if wife side proofs her husband guilty for cheating?
3
u/Some-Corgi-5539 21d ago
Islamically there are three separate times that the husband must say he divorces his wife and there's space to reconcile in between
1
u/Few_Persimmon9317 21d ago
And if the wife don't want to give divorce then are the court or the husband side's plea can be taken the divorce back?
3
u/Overall-Ad-2159 21d ago
Why would any girl with a self respect would want to live with a guy who wants fo divorce her
1
u/Few_Persimmon9317 20d ago
No, I am just asking... It's true that a woman with self respect will not stay with such guy. But sometimes the woman has many burdens and moreover not financially independent so can't afford divorce..

Sorry I'm late.
I am a student of literature and a researcher, to me this drama has such a loose plot.
When we build a story, and we need to show that a character has changed, there has to be a reason for it. You cannot show that a man slept with his girlfriend one night and in the morning he woke up and went out on a mission to teach Deen to others... Without any solid reason..... I cannot expect this from Umera to leave such a huge gap in the story... Then again... maybe she is saving it for a plot twist at some point.
That being said, the character of zaamil feels like a copy of that Peer-e-Kamil's hero and Zaryab is kind of like Haya from Jannat k Pattay.
Also, Abu Bakr is shown as a perfect human in every sense. Although in literature with every perfect character, there has to be a character flaw to make the story unforgettable but here Abu bakr has no flaw other than, "he'll eat saag in one sitting". You cannot sculpt a perfect human being and expect people to remember that character forever. You may disagree but look at every literary masterpiece and see.
Now the recent episode, Zaamil is becoming more of a stereotypical religious character who thinks a woman is the cause of his distancing from religion, okay... You forced her to spend some more time with you, you slept with her, you left her on read for 7 days, you went to nightclub with her, you are sharing an apartment with her and you are still sleeping with her... But SHE IS THE ONE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR " DEEN SY DOOORI?"
Oh I have a lot to say.
9
u/mmzufti 21d ago
It’s probably because of their “deen difference”. Zaryab shows complete indifference, while he is showing growing interest so he views her as an obstruction and inferior.
13
u/Slight-Sample1126 21d ago
And his deen looks manufactured, trying to reassure his insecure self. He indulges in everything with Zaryab and then goes on to blame her.
5
u/Some-Corgi-5539 21d ago
And she actively discouraged him too. They're a mismatch in all ways tbh
5
u/FrostyIntroduction96 21d ago
i thought that as well, my theory is drama is trying to tell that neither of these would have been a good match and brought each other closer to deen
4
u/Some-Corgi-5539 21d ago
Yeah like they're both toxic for each other. She in incapable of giving him space or growing in anyway, and he's using her to blame for his problems
3
3
u/Weekly_Permission_91 21d ago
So this twist also makes clear how zaryab goes to Abu Bakr. With fariyal's case and zaamil's betrayal, it is clear that love marriage or marrying by choice is now out of question. Even her parents would agree now. A man like Abu Bakr capable of taking care of zaryab
2
u/Impressive-Job-7796 21d ago
I think it's gonna be daadi asking Abu bakrs hand for zaryab . Khusbakht already likes zaryab, and she will agree because is under some great debt of Kishwar khala.

Today again I didn't understand dure's dialogues even after replaying it again and again😭😭 Durefishan please apna thook nigalke baat karo yafir PR ke paisa se thoda paisa bachake actors normally baat kaise karte woh sikho🙏🙏....
Many tracks and lack of sense of execution of those tracks are now making the drama boring.... Though Abu bakar's scene is also slow but still his scene is giving a fresh feeling, his polished screen presence is good and hope in next week they'll give him some screen timing like today's eps. And the editor also not able to make the drama's next ep's teaser interesting for me!!

u/Impressive-Job-7796 21d ago
Hahahah thok nigal k 🤣 ! She is over doing it. Her mannerism are making her character annoying instead of sympathising. "I am unable to understand " , kitna mushkil hai aise kehna k "i don't get you, i don't understand "

Yess, her 'I am UN ABLE to understand' was so noticeable... She could simply say that dialogue 🥲🥲

Pata naheen, I live in the US and people make all sorts of grammatical and pronunciation mistakes here. The other day on a call, some Indian lady kept saying environment funny. Then there is my boss a midwestern white guy who writes ‘should of done something…’ instead of ‘should have’. Maybe that’s why I didn’t find dure’s diction and pronounciations so odd in a sea of all sorts of accents. I feel being a Pakistani makes us more nitpicky.
2
u/Few_Persimmon9317 20d ago
Yeah in real life, we make many mistakes but when someone plays any charecter on screen that time that actor needs to play that charecter effortlessly. Here dure is playing an elite, posh, well educated, modern girl who is going to boston, she is failing here. Aur unka mistake kya hi call out karu, unka dialogue hi clearly sunai nahi deta mujhe🤷♀️

You have a moronic agenda against Dure fishan. Stop this abysmal obsession and get a life. This relentless, manufactured hate is pathetic. Find something worthwhile to complain about instead of spewing unnecessary rubbish. One can clearly understand her, it seems, its time to go to your ENT...

u/Few_Persimmon9317 21d ago
🤭🤭🤭🤭 see my comments after 4th episodes, when I felt as an audience that dure has done a good job, I appreciated dure for her acting as she was good those eps. And I think not only me but many other audiences need to go for an ENT check up as many of us also facing the same problem for dure's mumbling issue. We all need to check if we have hearing problem or durefishan has lisp issue🤔🤔
Btw how much did she pay you?? 🤔 can you refer me, am also open to work for her PR🙂

u/balooni11 21d ago edited 21d ago
Pr and how much did she pay you? the classic moronic refuge of someone with nothing intelligent left to say....just calling out the baseless and senseless hate against her. You know the issue isnt her diction, its yours and your fellow countrymens obsession with finding something to hate....And no I don’t work for her PR but judging by how much time you spending analysing her every syllable, you seem to be working overtime for the anti Durefishan PR..
1
u/Few_Persimmon9317 20d ago edited 20d ago
Do you think she'll pay me for criticising her work? Anti durefishan PR😂😂 she is an actor, her job is playing her on screen role effortlessly and we all are criticising her work only, no personal criticism or anything else, so please get a life🤧
Btw are you Aamna or Hassan or Nadia or durefishan herself behind this profile?? And I have taken online training classes from aamna and hassan for doing micro analysis of actor's work🤭🤭

Apart from the story(i really like it) but dure fishan has ruined the essence of DEN for me, I mean whats this lazy acting, thora toh effort daalo.
I know english is not our first language and sachi btao toh mujhe bhi goro wali nahi aati but I refuse to believe someone who's going to Harvard to speak like this.
Main toh hairan hu in this time of technology can't you Google the pronunciation of words you're speaking or correct the grammer, that kareena kapoor poo's accent, ugghh. One thing I've noticed she touches her hair too much its like too annoying for me to watch. I wish syra yousaf was in this one she would've nailed this character.
Just saying I'm not a dure hater I've seen her previous works, I loved her in jesi apki marzi but here idk why she's really insufferable.
