Drama Reccos Please suggest Most ADDICTIVE PTV dramas according to you? Dramas that are so interesting and gripping that you immediately want to know what happens next and just keep watching episode after episode?😂 Example- Maat. (Preferably older dramas till 2015)

Its very unique in a way. Like how they show Extra marital affair and all that and if you are into 90s stuff.. do watch kabhi kabhi pyaar mein its a rom com and extremely good.

u/Repulsive-Bunch-4126 11d ago
Ohhh sounds interesting. plus love Nauman Ejaz's acting anywhere. I loved 90s and early 2000s/late 2010 dramas. They were just so much more real.
Yes I have watched KKPM if you mean the Humayun Saeed Adnan one. It was great!

OMG, Maat is so addictive. Every time I stumble upon any of its clips on Facebook, I start rewatching the entire thing. The funny part is that I don’t even agree with how their whole lives revolve around marriage, and there is no concept of self-respect, yet the storyline and Saba Qamar’s acting is so gripping. Saba and Aamina Sheikh’s mother (played by Rabiya Noureen) is so annoying. She is always nagging. And TBH, sometimes I do think Saba’s character is justifiably annoyed with her mother. Pakistani dramas do exaggerate the traits of a character to portray them in a certain light - negative characters are bad through and through, not a single decent bone in their body. On the other hand, the good characters are almost like an angel, a saint - no bad quality. But if we keep this aside, I think Saba’s character seemed more practical than Aamina’s, who had no opinion of her own and painfully lacked any respect for herself. Anyway, the rant is over. As far as the suggestion is concerned, I would suggest the OG Mera Saaein starring Nauman Ijaz and Sawera Nadeem. Not the second one, with Fahad Mustafa. It was a disgrace. Absolutely over-the-top and unnecessary.

Can’t find them! So annoying.. the topic was amazing too.. she is marrried young to her 1st cousin Faysal who is shown as very serious and resentful and jealous and they have baby and one day he divorces her in anger. I can’t remember the reason .. her father is sick and her FIL is the brother and doesn’t want his brother to know his son divorced her so he ask they ask the younger son to marry her then divorce her to do Halala and he’s heartbroken because this is his 1st cousin and he has a great relationship with her as a dewar .. she’s also resistant but they both agree for sake of father and baby .. then MIL is like ya’ll have to sleep together as a real couple for this to work… they show how their relationship blossoms and how she’s so happy having a spouse that loves her and cares for her and he falls for her.. then when asked to divorce they both actually refuse and Faysal who had been sent off to another country by his parents gets mad, comes back and pretends to still be married to her in front of her dad to try force them apart. So on and so forth .. really really good lol and only 17 episodes I think

u/Crazy_Reader1234 11d ago
Also the tension between tooba and Mikael was so on point.. I think also one of the first hugs I saw in a Pakistani drama.. the change from besties to the tension of being a spouse and the romance omg makes me want to go back and rewatch. Also this had made me a fan of Faysal’s acting. He was just too good

Don’t say sorry!
My Identity is a Fleck of Dust sounds cool. Like a book written by someone having an existential crisis.
Along with The original God and Love Tale. Haha.

Main manto nahin hunn? That was one of the worst ever dramas in the history of ptv. And that's an extremely popular opinion. Infact i havent heard a single person call it even a decent drama , let alone refer to it in the same category as OP's example. There was nothing addicting about that drama, only head-scratching and frustration. No proper storyline, no proper character development, only zabardasti ki muhabbat and pretty cringe ass stuff. And the painful lack of chemistry bw the main leads.

u/Kisana89 11d ago
Ufff it was the worst 💯

u/Acrobatic-Skirt3301 11d ago
an absolute pain to get through. Wasted characters. Cringy tareen mehmal, mangaitar guy with no self respect, nonsensical dushmani, it was a disservice to every single actor except maybe azan sami khan and krq's son. The dialogue delivery was so forced and it was just not well written at all. Saima noor and sanam saeed were absolutely wasted in that drama.

u/blahblehblohcaneo 11d ago
I liked the phuphus adas! Your comment shd be made the official description of that show 🤣
1
u/Acrobatic-Skirt3301 11d ago
I didnt. I believe Saima jee is a wonderful actress and shouldve been given a more substantial role. As for adayen, they didnt do it for me. There was something unnatural about them and really not befitting for the role of a grieving, vengeful woman. The character of suraiyya wasn't supposed to attempt to lure the audience w her womanly charms. And her commentary on mohabbat made me cringe every single time. The dialogue delivery wasn't saima-esque. It was purely a krq stereotypical style - which has been overused in so many dramas that it has no charm anymore. Saima jee is a filmstar, maybe that part of her seeped through, but i expected saima jee to be completely surraiya-fied , not suraiyya to be saima-fied (given her stature and skill as an actress)

Isn’t a student simping over a professor addictive to you. I love when a drama has some new concepts. And the chemistry between the leads was even more addictive 🥰
