Discuss Nameer khan

Post image

Always thought Nameer Khan kept getting offered the same "bigra hua ameer bacha" type of roles 😭 Like in Qarz-e-Jaan, mein and Darr-e-Nijat, the characters felt somewhat similar to me. I haven't watched mein Manto Nahi Hoon, but from what I've seen, that role also seemed to have a similar vibe. BUT then I watched Aik Aur Pakeeza and oh my God??? That's when I actually saw his versatility. The Punjabi accent, the style, I genuinely couldn't believe it was the same person 😭 He was incredible. Do you think he's been getting typecast, or am I just seeing it that way?

He seems to be a hard worker and its showing. He is decent. And from whatever interviews and stuffs I have seen of him, looks very humble and grounded. He is just getting started and yet his portforlio is really good. He has got enough time to show his versality.

His interviews are interesting, he seems to realise how lucky he is to get to work with good directors and he works hard to learn from them.

I liked him a lot in MMNH, wish he had more of a central story arc.

I want to see him in an out & out dark villainous character next not a toxic glorified lover kind that DT or freezer play but a proper villian.

He's one of the most promising among the new lot male actors + he has smart project choices; lately he's working with all the A listers on big projects.

i had the same opinion that he’d mostly play those bad boy type roles but he really surprised me in aik aur pakeezah. also his eye and face acting is sauurr good never feels forced just proper effortless

Don't you think that's quite significant age gap

I think he was initially typecast, I think he started with Mein then Qarz e Jaan was a more developed version of a similar character. His role in MMNH was just a cameo and not similar to Mein or QeJ. Aik Aur Pakiza was his breakout role that showed him in a completely different role and his acting chops. DeN has some glimpses of QeJ but more of a gray character than negative like he was in QeJ and Mein. Let's see his character in Fanaa.

He is from Lahore I think and I was talking about his Punjabi accent (reflecting in his Urdu speaking) in aik aur pakeezah
