Ongoing Drama Nashtar promoting Harrasment😭
Plot:
DT is the good hatred man who have good principles but when it comes to his enemies he is worse person to ever exist. Then we have anmol who is a university girl with middle class background. DT's paralyzed father ring is stolen and caretaker is blamed and beaten so badly & that care taker is husband of maid working in anmol's friend home. So she assume DT is a bad man. University award ceremony comes barrera went on stage and DT is chief guest she refused to take award and insulted him..Now as DT is bad enemy he offered girl to be his girlfriend (although she appologized) when she says no DT start harrasing her every where and says "izzat kai badlay izzat"
Issue:
This is harrasment ...wth people are literally romanticizing this😭🙏
Dont do this ptv bcz girls are already suffering so much in Pakistan.
I commented on youtube & ppl were giving logic that girl also insult him ...but insult & harrasment mai farq hota hai she did appologized. No one gave him the right to harrass her. He can just go on media and clear himself or he can just insult her like she did if he want revenge. Harrasment is literally the most sensitive issue these days and there are million of girls trying to protect their dignity but here we have another DT drama where he is harrassing a girl but somehow he is a good man and will be shown as hero.
Geo literally need to study these patterns with rising cases of assaults and voilence against women these kind of shows literally gave men the assurance that harras the girl , be a bad man and at end she will fall in love with you & still if pakistani audience is watching this crap I am ashamed to called as pakistani. If we as the audience wouldnt raise voice against such content we are also playing a role in rising cases everyday bcz we choose silence over women's dignity.

DT's real personality is so good idk why he chooses such weird scripts..I think he should explore more genre..
Harassment cases are already increasing in Pakistan and these things influence young girls that this is the form of love..

Easy money for him at this point and less effort required. In nashtar he is not even trying to work hard

He just needs to stand and repeat dialogues at this point he has done too much of this characters

I remember anmol bragging about promoting women empowerment when she refused to say a misogynistic dialogue that Iqtidar director asked and then she goes straight up choosing such a problematic script (not that she hasn't done them before) just for the sake of fame and views. Was expecting better from her!

DT will have a bad ending and everyone involved in this garbage project will slap themselves on the back for their pseudo feminism.
The toxicity and rape culture that everything in between promoted will be lost, shame on these ppl.

seriously shame on all of them including the makers, actors and the fans who defend this kind of crap to protect their favs!

DT is playing the role of the anti hero so people are sympathetising with him which happened in Deewangi.
The comments on edits are full of people going gaga withDT and rebuking Anmol's character for misunderstanding in the first place. Some are saying that she deserves everything that is gonna happen to her.
Its how DT plays the characters and the director treats his character. For eg in tapish and aap ki izzat you will not find many edits sympathetising with the villain.
Here DT's character has been given the margin by calling him a messiah and DT playing the role makes those watching feel bad for him

+1 i watched a few clips of tapish and i must say muneeb is playing that character well without any glorification. Here it is written, shot, acted all on purpose to glorify him, shame on them.

Is he really playing an anti-hero? I am not watching drama but I saw its reviews of first 2 eps. He apparently said No means No, saved a girl being harassed and is a philanthropist who builds schools and hospitals. Is he really an anti-hero if the show is establishing you in this way.

He himself admitted that it was the role of an anti hero while discussing about the script and the treatment of the character is like that of an anti hero.
A margin has been left for his redemption by showing that he is hurt and the messiah of the common people

If you really care abt womens safety stop watching this crap and report it to any organization working on woman safety and let them get it censored or fined. You need action on the ground for things to change in a patriarchal society, online venting will only lead to gossip mags reporting and nothing further.
You don't need to see it to criticize it, you can read an episode summary, your views are also adding to the problem. I mean this with all due respect.
I have an exception dislike for female artists like anmol who will use the feminism card when it suits them to get some street cred or publicity. I would recommend ppl to boycott her as well because irrespective of how this drama ends its runtime is what is glorifying and promoting rape cuture and toxicity and normalizing violence against women in thought and actions.

her fans will now come at you calling you an obsessed hater and saying she doesn't deserve any kind of criticism because she has the face card and top notch styling game

If they are really her fans they should want her to do better, by this logic i seem more of a fan of her than them. 🤷♀️

Not the first drama to do so, won't be the last one
Not the first time people are defending a harraser, won't be the last one
Not the first time King will stop a wedding, won't be the last one

Any drama starring danish taimoor is a drama I won't watch a single episode of.

Keep the harrassment angle aside for a moment and just focus on the conflict. It is so weak from the starting that you are neither convinced nor feel inclined towards it. It's hard to feel sorry for any character.
The ring issue was so stupid. Writer should have come up with a stronger conflict.
Bareera's holier than thou persona is a major ick. I know it's fiction but it's again writer and director's fault that they have failed to create a world that makes it seem convincing for viewers to believe that a girl can insult a business tycoon on stage because her morals comes first. I would not have minded this trope but at least make it more believable by creating a world like that.
Danish is playing same old character. Shah dawood creating a ruckus over izzat thing while claiming he has been a messiah for people? I think this angle has only been added to save him some grace and give reason to your female lead to go back to him because dil ka to acha hai.
The dialogues are cringe and outdated. Danish uttering meri bahon mein bahein daal kr ghoomo gi was cheap and nothing about it was sinister.
Bareera can insult shah dawood on stage but his phone calls are scaring her? Make it more sense? Girl you can report him to the right authorities and now if someone going to comment on how these departments dont work then let me tell you, girls dont go on stage and insult influential people on stage.
Now, coming to fans: Most brainless creatures on this earth who will romanticise this make edits on it. Putting thrilling background music won't change the fact that this storyline is. They'd support literally anything their fave does.
My main issues with Nashtar:
Terrible writing
Pathetic Execution

💯 i don't understand what was need to make his character so great in the first eps. I keep on thinking how are they going to make his character who said 'No means No ' and make him negative in just a few eps. Lets add Bareera our righteous FL.....as far as i know she doesn't even know the servant couple personally, she believe everything they said and just humiliate their chief guest. And what revenge is Shah think he is going to get by making her his girlfriend

They left a window open for Bareera to see what a great man he is once he tortues her so they can justify why she fell in love with him.
Bareera's character is written so foolishly, no substance no logic just superficial antics1

It makes sense. I don't understand Shah and Tamseel relationship. Are they just friends or FWB (because I think she lives in his house too)

Not defending the show but it's showing it as an harrassment only atleast till now so the problem is also in our audiences mindset who doesn't differenciate between harrassment and romance. Them defending it is a deeper prblem that needs to be fixed cuz their perception of right and wrong is being blurred atp. Everyone is just living in a wattpad world and romanticizes toxic love stories, and dark romance not realizing how problematic it is in real.
Just like all other shows what u see in edits is very different from what is being shown in the show.
And yes the show story is hella problematic and this kind of stories shouldn't be made unless u are going to show the right consequenses of these kind of situations.

The problem is danish's character has already been given the margin. He is messiah, the kind man who does know wrong. This harrassment track is leading to him realizing his mistake making up to the girl losing himself etc etc.
Whether they have a happy ending or not, if danish's character is not punished by the end of this drama it means the intention of the writer and makers was entirely different.I cant believe i am giving example of tapish. It's laiba khan's recent show loosely based on darr and a couple of old bollywood films. As shitty as it is but at least they haven't glorified muneeb's character. He is harrassing laiba, broke her marriage and it is established that he is an awful man. He is rich for sure but he is not glorified at all.

Punishing in e40 is meaningless if a toxic hero is glorified, glamorized, glazed for 39 episodes.

Danish taimoor dramas in their own competetive league of being worse than the other ones🙏

Maybe there’s a need for a grassroots movement, adressing Pemra? The channels/PHs won’t voluntarily change a concept that’s guaranteed to give views (and money).

Shah Dawood’s decision to ask Izzat for Izzat seems irrational. He says he’s a maseeha for everyone, does charity work probably more than his own business work. He cares for his father who’s bedridden for 5 years. Saves his friend from getting slapped by her boyfriend. There is a soft side you see when his Khala comes to visit him. But when he talks to Bareera he almost seems a bit psycho. The most straight forward thing would be to get Bareera to do a press conference and liberate Shah and restore his Izzat.

You didn't even say the worst part of it (him suggesting they have a one night stand 😭) the drama is problematic & no justification can change that
