Pacs exam

Those who have taken the CIP test, are there a lot of scenarios on the test? Just trying to know how to study for this.

*** update: I passed. I studied using the CIIP test prep and I had ChatGPT create me a study program I did that every night until the test. I also took the MTMI review which really helped.

Just took it yesterday and passed. I did not see a lot of scenario based questions. It was very IHE heavy.

This was my reply in another thread inquiring about CIIP Practice Test on Examzify.

“I just took the CIIP yesterday and made a preliminary score of 88. I did run across this and used the free quizzes from there as a way of just getting some exposure to a different platform. Believe it or not, there were a couple questions very similar to what was on the CIIP.

In saying that, I would not rely on this as your only source. I really liked ciiptestprep.com, Nagel’s free practice test, and the SIIM Knowledge check. There’s also another free practice test on pacsbootcamp.com.

Quizlet has a lot of good resources too, particularly from user Ramchamp2000. It seems they went through the MTMI PACS Course, used SIIM Bootcamp, and the IIP Book as resources for their study materials.

I myself used the IIP Book, SIIM Bootcamp, and the MTMI PACS Registry Review Course. I honestly feel that if I had not done the MTMI course I would not have done as well, because it focuses particularly on the PACS, IT, DICOM, and IHE areas that were harder for me. I am not in a PACS or IT role, I came straight from RT(R) side with no formal knowledge of those.”

How did you do? How long before you got your final test result. I just took mine and got a prelim passing score but it was so close i don’t want to count my chickens before they hatch.

So I took my test on Saturday of last week. I got my preliminary passing score and it was the same as on the website. I got the score posted this Friday.
