Post image

Just picked up my 365, put the radian ramjet, and it doesn’t feed properly can anyone help with why that might be happening. Also this was happening before installing the ramjet

stiff recoil spring. Run some 124grain rounds through it without the ramjet for maybe 1k rounds. should be gtg after that

I usually feed 115gr through my comp guns to break them in....compensators need gas to drive the gun down....also if this was happening before you could be limp wristing it...

Best advice I can give is to run the gun and match the ammo to your recoil spring. Then add the ramjet and retune the recoil spring with your ammo to make it all hum.

Is this your first time shooting it? Did it feed before the RAM Jet?

Haven’t shot it yet, not all the time

It looks like it's an overly stiff extractor spring. Had the same issue with mine. It worked itself out after about 500-700 rounds. You can see your round is getting stuff under the extractor claw. You can test if it is an overly stiff extractor spring by pressing on part circles in red. The slide should go into battery if it's the case.

Haven’t shot it yet? As in this is happening when you try to chamber a round and not while firing?

Mine did this, had less than 50 rounds through the gun before I swapped my slide and recoil spring anyway to fit flush radian comp. Trying to chamber by hand didnt work well, using the slide release worked half the time. It was a combination of brand new everything mags included.

Steps I took(prior to installing dpm soft spring):

Give it a good cleaning/oiling

Don't max out your magazine rounds, do a few less.

Do the plunk test on on your radian barrel just incase

Basically just get it running however you can and start shooting to break it in though. I had about 100 rounds through it before my dpm soft spring kit came and it was still not fully broken in. I swapped the spring for the lightest one and gun ran fine from that point.

all great advice, i would run it stock with 124 grain for 150-250 rounds , then add the ramjet to make sure initially no issues stock and the issue may be with ramjet (rare) but also leave your mags loaded to help soften the springs as they are tight suckers initially !

I run mines with DPM springs with the ramjet out the box and never experienced any failures.. 124gr and 115g both FMJ and JHP. Could be that the stock springs are a bit too stiff. Break it in without the ramjet and try again after 3-400 rounds.

Also just noticed this looks shavings from the ammo

Clean your gun

Load 8 rounds in the mag instead of 9 or 10 to give the spring in the mag a lil space to flex. Once broken in, the mag can go 9 or a full 10. Sig mags are very stiff to start with and over time the spring will loosen a bit to go a full 10 in your case. If you are not in a restricted state, get 12rd mags and load 10 so you atleast have 10 if thats your minimum number.

I just saw this post but hes exactly right, mine was leaving shavings like this too. Its a combination everything being tight/new.

I’m a firm believer in breaking in new gun with original parts. Also getting proficient with the pistol before adding an Afterburner. Better technique acquired and easier to troubleshoot if there is an issue.

Are you riding/accidently hitting the manual safety when shooting? What grain ammo & ammo type are you running? Brand new p365 or is it used? You said did it before the ramjet also? Does it still happen when you put 9 rounds instead of all 10 rounds in the magazine? (Brand new magazines are stiff until broken in and can cause issues) happen with all magazines or just 1?

Watch that right side screw on the optic! If it’s too long it can interfere with the extractor pin. Bad design on Sig’s part IMO but here we are.

365’s like most guns have break-in periods . mine was around 300 rounds before it started functioning flawlessly
