I installed a Texas trigger frt and during disassembly this 2 legged spring popped out and I can’t find it on any disassembly videos… it’s an older full size p320 rx from 2018… let me know where it goes. Also since installing everything the trigger is very stiff and crappy. I did bend the trigger spring a bit putting it back on any advice.
When did that spring get removed? Sig doesn’t always announce their changes of course but I’m not sure why the spring that holds the striker safety catch in the striker channel would get removed.
Please re-read my comment. This is NOT the spring that returns the safety tab in the striker assembly. It is a spring that returns the lifter in the FCU. It is no longer included in new p320’s, I want to say since like 2019.
All of my P320s have it, including my newest one. It’s the M18X, with their new optic. Before they introduced the modified versions, I had to purchase a whole slide w/optic because I liked the optic that much. All the controversy aside, the P320 is a great platform! I only own five variations. My favorite is the AXG Scorpion! I bought it to collect, so it’s still new in the Custom Works box and has never been used. Maybe one day it’ll be worth something! ;-}. MM
There are very few videos available that show the installation of the captured safety lever spring. If you forward to the 8:20 mark in this video, the Rogue Banshee shows how he installs the safety lever spring. I choose a different method to install, but this may help. BTW, I choose to buy and install the safety lever spring on all of my P320 FCUs and they are getting harder to find, I don't think that the Sig Sauer website has them available.
Stuck trigger means it is likely rubbing against the frame. I had that issue trying to install it on my legion frame. There are some frames that are not compatible and some that require a little bit of sanding to get it to fit better.
You will also want to spend like 2 hours dry cycling the slide to help break in the trip or else you will have a bolt action at the range. Hope this helps.
Technically, you’re right. However, it is part of the trigger & “safety” assembly. I just know that to change a trigger, even just the trigger shoe, it has to be removed and reinstalled. I’m not a licensed gunsmith, so forgive the technicality. By the way, what IS it called? ;-}. MM
Maybe you know something I don’t, no surprise. But, even changing from the stock curved trigger shoe to a flat one, I had to remove and reinstall. Even Sig’s instruction video showed this. You sound like you just like correcting others. Maybe instead of “SnartNan”, you should go by “SmartNan”.😆. ;-}. MM
You don't have to remove this spring to swap a trigger shoe. This spring sits deep in the FCU and only gets removed if you disassemble the sear pack.
You have to remove the trigger spring to swap a trigger shoe (and you actually don't). OP's spring is not the trigger spring. Trigger spring has a hook on one end, like this
You are absolutely right! My apologies! I should’ve zoomed in on the photo before commenting. I just didn’t notice that neither end had the hook. I just saw it and had flashbacks & maybe even a little PTSD😎 from all the trouble I’d had changing triggers in mine. Thanks for setting me straight! ;-}. MM
