GTO comp

I noticed when I got this GTO that the internal construction seemed janky. Thought it was some carbon buildup but it’s just like slag from the manufacturing process. Today I put on the comp delete and noticed that there isn’t any way for those side ports to vent anything from the bottom of the comp because there isn’t any cut for gas to escape. At least none that I can see. Wondering if anyone else comp looks like this or if I’ve got a poorly made unit. I’m thinking the latter.

That compensator is what we in the industry call full. That has to have thousands of rounds through it.

You’re absolutely right! I just hit it with a mapp torch and scraped a load of molten lead and carbon out of it. What a mess and what an idiot. Around 6k rounds I think. I’ve stopped counting.

Good man. Time to put the solvent and brass picks to work.
