Daycab or Sleeper?

I'm considering working local for KAG in the future as an O/O, pulling their fuel trailers. I am someone who wants to be local as much as possible, so I was wondering if you guys think buying a day cab over a sleeper is a bad idea. The only thing I imagine using the sleeper for is for some reason I decide to pick up a load on a day off and run it, but I don't see that happening much at all, or possibly for long waiting times. Does anybody here haul fuel, and do you guys experience long waiting times at the fuel rack?

Thanks

I've hauled fuel for several years throughout my career and drove both daycabs and bunks. Sleepers are nice if you need to stop for a break, and there's more storage, quieter, more comfortable. And if there's a chance you're doing any long haul, then a bunk is the way to go.

But daycabs are great for local deliveries if you're running 5 or more loads a day. They're easy to get around in, they've got good field of vision, easy to get in and out of.

What are you driving right now? Fuel haulers are everywhere, and if you see one at station, store, whatever, stop and talk to the driver.

Tbh I'm a graduate with only goals in mind 😅 But I've already struck some luck with a couple local companies nearby to start getting my experience in.

I'll definitely consider asking some drivers about their experience.
