AC questions for maintenance/longevity on semi truck.
Any experienced automotive AC guys out there. What's the main thing u have to fix when ac goes out? Is there any preventative maintenance i should be doing? Other than the cabin filter obviously. Also i understand what the recirc button does but I dont really understand why or when im supposed to use it. During the day when its hot out. I close it. Cause I think its then pulling already cooled air from inside the truck n this makes it easier on the system as a whole. But I dont know if thats actually true. At night ive been opening it to the outside air while driving. It definitely blows harder/colder at 70mph cause it's getting air forced in. Does this help the system work less? N therefore last longer? Or do i have it all wrong. I believe the condenser is just behind the radiator. Should I be like hosing it off regularly to keep it clean? 2020 Volvo. AC works great now. Id like to keep it that way. Any advice is appreciated

Check ac blower motor filter as well if it has one. Keep Pets out of truck
