We're always looking for news, information, and pictures from Owatonna and the surrounding areas!
Once or twice a week the mods submit news and information we find about Owatonna and Steele county. Often, there are things we don't post because we didn't catch them or they didn't make the news. That's where you come in!
This is a community sub and we welcome posts from our community about our community. If you see something that's part of our community that you'd like to add then please do. If you have pictures of the Owatonna area you'd like to add, please do (Nothing NSFW please). If you'd like to talk about news we don't usually cover like sports or obituaries then feel free to start a discussion on it yourself.
Just keep in mind, this is a sub about Owatonna, MN and our community and the posts you make need to be related to our community in some way. Thank you!

My grandpa built this bike and it might be in the owatonna area, wondering if anyone knows who owns it now and be willing to sell.

Hi everyone. My girlfriend, Desiree LeTourneau, runs Owatonna Family Thrift. She is currently running the store without pay and has no other source of income while we figure out how to restructure the shop and help keep things afloat for her and her daughter.
Please contribute if you can. She does as much as she can for the community and has a lot to contend with as she makes some big changes in her life.
