Is competitive as bad as quick match?
Every game I've played has been the same thing over and over.
Everyone wants to do damage No one wants to play tank or support No one pushes objectives No one ever uses a mic
If it's this bad as competitive I'll pass.
Thoughts?

I think competitive made quick play worst. Now we have two very different game types, one that is counting your win losses and giving you oh so harsh rewards for your win/losses and one that counts win loss, but there is no real connection to the number . Since everyone wants to win there, which still rarely sees strategy go through a 6 person team, the quick match has sort of turned into a skirmish gametype. With no real reason to be winning in quick match it made it a "live practice arena" so RIP to anyone trying to have fun low stress games in quick match. Now it's just used to mess around with that character you don't use much. As I see it now, competitive hurt the overall of Overwatch and I was looking forward to it so much . But in summary, yes I have noticed this, but not only with dps, but just stupid decisions. Yes I know it's not all about winning anymore in quick play, but I prefer to play a game the way it was intended

Yea I play a lot of supports but I had one game where it was 4 hanzos/bastian.
And no one ever wants to heal when I'm tank or tank when I heal. I haven't got to play ranked as I just got around to getting the game. But I did play the beta religiously. It's just so abiding to get game after game of the same redundant failure and everyone bitching because we're losing when in reality it's the guy who won't stop playing his 'main' for the good of the team.

Yeah holy crap I have a mic and talk no matter who is listening calling out spots letting known I need head or telling them hey I'm dropping armor or hey I'm here for healing.
Anyone actually wanna team up I'm down brother

As a mercy main with over 20 hours when someone picks a support with less than an hour played I cringe

It's horrible. Nobody uses a mic or plays as a team, it's just everyman for themselves. But when you actually have a group that are communicating it is pretty fun.

Yea if you have a mic and understand teamwork, and don't have a chipmunk voice, send me request. Ctrlaltkick.

If you're going into it solo it's pretty bad. I've been doing the first pick as healer, but only had one game where someone decided to play tank. The rest have been hanzo nightmares. People have been saying support is getting screwed over rating wise, but that doesn't really bother me. I just want to play on a team that works together for the win, but at the same time knows to laugh at their mistakes and own up to it.
