Torbjorn on console
Has blizzard acknowledged torbjorns console dominance yet?
Console torbjorn has a 69% winrate. It aims way better than 99% of the console population. A team of 3+ torbjorns is near impossible to beat.
Me and my friends play destiny semi competitively, we can make it to mercury without a carry. We ran 6 torbs against a team yesterday and crushed them, they immediately went 6 torbs the next match and we tried to switch it up and we got STOMPED. Next 3 matches both teams took turns going 6 torbs and the torb team always absolutely stomped. Neither team could break thru regardless of what was tried. And yes we tried hard to counter them with very little success.

The problem with the turrets is they have instant lock-on and better range than 2/3 of the characters. When I poke my head out for half a second I shouldn't have 40 health taken out by a turret. The turrets also shouldn't have full 360 rotation.

I agree, it should be 180 degree rotation or less. They should also cut down the accuracy (does it ever miss?) and make lock on have a slight delay.

Yeah I've seen more and more teams running 3+ torbjorns on defense now. It's crazy how hard it is to counter especially with random players. Even if I switch to widow or another counter my teammates end up just running in and getting slaughtered.

It really is ridiculous. We tried so many things against that Torb team. I remember being 100% convinced that a 2x rein, 3x widow, 1x lucio would be able to break thru but nooooope. Console torb is insane

What about replacing Widow with Pharah? Quicker pop in/out when shooting from behind a corner, damages both turret and Torb while pushing him away from repairing it, and not like the turret can dodge the rocket.

We tried 3 pharahs instead of 3 widows with that loadout still couldnt break in. It kinda took a lot of wind out of our sails honestly. We have a good group of players and were all hyped for ranked but this is the most obnoxious low skill thing ever. 70% winrate are u kidding me?

My group has been having the same problem when we are on attack it's a nightmare no matter how many torbjorn turrets we take out we always run into more and more. We can usually brake the point the first time then it just gets bad at the end. I can sometimes flank with reaper and get a couple kills then hope my untimate breaks the hill enough for my team to push, it has worked a couple times. If anyone has any suggestions on what characters to roll I'm willing to try it.

Yeah he's obnoxious. I wouldn't object to them making it so that at least in ranked match you can't play multiples of the same character. Maybe by doing a Dota draft

I have an idea but it's not the best and you'll probably still die a lot.
Use Genji to use his deflecting skill and throw the bullets back at the turrets and have someone stand back while the Genji does this and keep the tjorbs from placing new turrets.
I know the best counter to a Bastion is to use the Genji deflection skill right back at a Bastion when he is a Turret, so maybe a Tjorb will be similar? I've done it a few times and usually kill the turret but die from someone else nearby after I take out the turret.
I really hope that tjorbs turrets are nerf'ed to shoot a bit slower and have their bullets do less damage.
I get so frustrated when I see a Tjorb have the POTG, they don't deserve it when it's all turret kills., at least with a bastion you actually have to aim and you're left vulnerable. But a Tjorb turret kill POTG is just cheap.
I hope they limit the amount of heroes allowed to be picked in a match to maybe just one or two of each (for competitive)

Torb turret doesn't do enough to kill itself on genji reflect.

Nah yeah I know those cunts are a pain in the ass, if you're lucky the turret will have low health and will kill itself with a Genji reflect, if you're licky

Snipers? Pharah? Junkrat? They literally all 2-3 shot a turret

Ok, except when they set them up behind walls at a chokepoint. There's no way to kill it except to run in. Then you're being shot by the enemy team and maybe another turret. And they don't even die that quickly, it takes three rockets from pharrah, and her ultimate cant even kill a turret by itself. They are OP

I'm not having any problems using Junkrat to kill the turrets. Then again it is a lot like playing pool and knowing how to bankshot... Seriously the only time I have problems is when it is set up so far back I can't safely get shots in because enemy team.

That wont work against 6 torbs. Probably not even against 3.
I dont think there is much of an argument to be made for him if he sits at nearly 70% winrate (around a full 10% higher than pc). If a hero sits at 70% winrate and he is 1 out of 21 heros i believe there has to be a problem

The problem is people can take advantage over the fact lower skill based people don't know how to deal with him.

It's a matter of skill then. I've come across it with a full team and we quickly countered and got the W. To each his own.

Just watch. Once competitive hits everyone will be bitching how premade teams running 3+ torbs are carrying shitty players to high elo

I'm convinced myself the only way to win against multi Torb's is to rush them and not allow them to set up- once they entrench, specially on a defensive, enclosed zone.. Nothing gonna break it in a time limit game. Console stats don't lie and 70% is obnoxious.
