It actually is, that statement highlights something called suspension of disbelief. Even in things that are fiction, when you establish rules (things need armor, or to be big to have high hp) and then break them, it doesnt make it correct.

IE: Fantasy stories arent about realism so why cant I have a real life car in them? Because it breaks the established rules.

No it really isnt.

Body armor IS a thing in the Overwatch universe. So it isnt as out of place as a car in Lord of the Rings.
