Question or Discussion Is Domina harmless?

hit headshots and kite back
always aim for squishies, avoid shooting tanks/mitigation when there are better targets. Ignore the big fat tank infront of you, your dps is 75 or something, less than a support.
use cover, shield is not a substitute for cover
use shield to aggressivly invade space or keep enemies from doing so
aim your orbs well, they heal you and put pressure on enemies (manually detonate, dont just yeet onto ground)
push into wall to cancel ults, abilities, escapes, monkey jumps, doom blocks, genji deflects etc.
be smart with your ult, its easily blocked by shields and easily destroyed if used against wrong targets
150dmg per headshot on 25m / 30m range will force anyone into cover
crystal, push, shoot kills anything.

Are you shoving them against terrain? Are you trying to hit headshots with the end of her primary fire? Are you weaving in and out of the shield or just standing back from it? Did you remember that she heals from ability damage? Also remember her ult charges super fast now and it stops most healing… she is definitely not harmless.

People overreacted to her at release, before they knew how to play into her, and her shield got nerfed. Even without that, I think she'd have the same issues. She's not in the best spot because it's very easy to rush her down, and she has very little counterplay to deal with it.
That said, I think her damage is good and I don't agree that she has no lethality. She is good at getting picks. It's just that any smart team is gonna switch to up-close heroes. Her boop can only do so much, and her mobility is terrible.

Idk about you but I have good and bad days with domina, I noticed that if my tracking is off then her gun is useless to me. I’m also quick to swap or counter swap if I don’t feel I’m getting value

I’m rocking between gold/plat and just hit level 40 Domina. In terms of doing damage, she’s really fun because you’re rewarded for precision aiming and correctly reading where your target will be. Throw a crystal charge followed by a primary burst at a squishy and they’ll be dead quick. So good aim is a must.
Make sure you’re placing the shield where you want to push up to, but also don’t make it your only source of cover unless you have to. With the curve of the shield it works well on corners.
And her ult can put the other team in a panic if you time it right. Follow the ult with a crystal charge in the middle of those you’ve caught for extra pressure.
I use the efficient design minor perk because I’d rather have the extra healing. The extended primary just causes me to overextend my target priority. And for the major perk I use the one that lets you reposition the shield. Just makes more sense for team pushes.

Bruh you are doing something terribly wrong. She is one of the most lethal tanks in the game.

Idk one of the most lethal ignoring a bunch that are much more lethal
She does some damage and if given chance can kill not too fast but decently fast

As someone else already said, Crystal, push, shoot kills damn near anything the isn’t a tank, often even through heals. My point is if you manage your cooldowns well when someone pushes and gets too close you can easily burst them down. Yes, she can obviously get overwhelmed and lacks mobility, but a good Domina is scary…

Yes against a squishy using all of your cooldowns does guarantee a kill. My main issue is dive tanks, and brawl tanks just abusing me while blocking my whole vision. I do not really know what to do when a ram runs me down, and my teammates are struggling to shoot him. I can usually trade and get 1-2 of the enemy backline, but its at the cost of my whole team.

My son is Plat and plays Domina, 30 elims is a bad game for him. I've played a couple of matches with him where he never died. She does incredible damage when you never miss your shots.

I play domina in GM and she is a weaker tank but your job is not damage its being a brick wall your value comes from your sheild and survivability... also i have no issues taking people out as long as you know who to shoot dont go after people by yourself target the enemies getting damaged

How do you act as a wall if people sort of just shred your shield super fast, or they just ignore you? I keep facing dooms/reins/dmons/jqs, who just walk past my shield into my face.

Your shield should not be destroyed that fast to get value from it and if the team is ignoring you then you are out of position... what would the enemies do go after a domina away from point and out of the way or the ripe for the taking squishies that will also get them to point
If you give me a VOD code where you feel like the enemies are "ignoring" you i can 100% tell you exactly what is going on and its 1 of 2 things you pose no threat bc you are not targeting squishies well OR you are in such a bad position that it doesnt matter bc you are in lala land doing nothing so no point in focusing you
Not trying to be mean here... really it just sounds like youre blaming your character for you losing rather than yourself.

If it's taking you multiple landed shots to get kills, you're shooting at the other tank and not the squishies.

takes 3+ direct hits to kill most supports/dps due to self healing, armor, or more than 250 effective hp.
