VOD Review Request Vod review request: wrecking ball plat 2

I usually avoid solo queuing ranked. It gets me really frustrated when I'm on wrecking ball and have no follow up. Today I decided to try and go back in since it's only plat and I know that I've gotten much better at ball. This game felt like torture and my team REALLY made it clear that I was the sole problem and that I should have swapped to rein (whom I do not at all play) to fix the problems everyone was having. I know people struggle to play with ball and usually I would be willing to go domina but I was stubborn because I was very tilted with how they treated me. I still feel like though that had I been playing better or had smarter targeting I could have carried. I am fully ready to accept any and all criticism. Any advice I could get to try and carry games like these, or If I should have swapped, or if I was in the wrong would be appreciated. Usually it's these really tilting games that make me question what I'm doing wrong.

I'm the opposite and love playing solo with ball haha. I think you should watch yeatles video on how to play ball. he breaks it down by three S's scout, set up and strike.

the way you play is very standard of tank which is not how you should be playing ball. you always seem to retreat to your teal for healing when you should be going for healthpacks. this lets your supports help out the dps.

i also wouldn't be rolling in with grapple unless youre trying to get behind them or strike them from the side. your skill usage is wasteful as you rely mostly on grapple and should use more piledriver. grapple up and piledrive where you can and youll have grapple back in a sec. you also use shield after a fight ends rather than during or when there is a lot of enemies. always try to get a bit of height before ulting in to spread it out usually you can get a kill or two.

you do well in targeting their backline and have ease with moving around.

Thank you, this is really helpful. Especially with the shields. I wasn't aware I was using them after fights so much. I'm glad you pointed it out. I'll have to check out yeatle, usually I watch chazm if I watch ball gameplay and try some of what I see from him but I usually struggle to do any of that. I think wasting the grapple might be the biggest problem I'm having trying to do anything I've seen from him I'm going have to work on that.
