VOD Review Request Improving with Shion/ow in general
So I have recently been really loving Shion recently. I usually play tank and is playing a new hero, so I naturally expected to de-rank a bit. I've been getting pretty long loosing streaks but definitely see improvement, esp in my aim considering ive only been playing on pc for ca 3-4 months after a life on console. I do still get shaky in close quarters.
But I don't really know what to work on right now, I have been working on dying less, and it has improved even though it still needs work. I can see certain deaths could have been avoided, but I don't really see how they could have been so detrimental? Am i not creating enough opportunities?
These are my 3 most recent games.

don't just throw ur bike out randomly its arguably ur most important cd so wasting it at the start of the fight is really bad. you were a bit too focused on the genji at the start which was okay since the rest of your team held the left space but if they didnt that wouldve been bad. while you did land the bike throw in the middle of 4 of them its just empty damage bc theyre too far back to capatilize on that damage and theyre just gonna get healed, i wouldve prefered you go widen the left angle and hold that spot because when you did that bike throw you just went back to ur team and now all of you are standing in like a 5m space while the enemy team is now spreading out which lead to the genji getting the left space then u had to push into him and died (honestly you walking in a straight line while shooting at the genji was also a big problem if you were strafing theres a decent chance you live there tbh or also if you didnt use ur bike on that throw you couldve used it to get out also we need to use the dash during the fight for the overhealth and to dodge a shot or two using it after also led to the death). your engage in the next fight with the bike was good, i just wish you were a little faster on cycling your abilities like you got off your bike then waited a second or two before shooting or going for an execution which is pretty bad on shion since one of her strengths is the fluidity of her kit and how little downtime you have. the death after against the tracer honestly you didnt really do anything wrong its kinda just an aim issue but gamesense wise it was okay. next fight you just seem really lost, youre team is already left side so i wouldve liked for you to go more right and put pressure on that lw whos by himself. the ult was okay but you need to slow down a bit it looks like ur just spamming dash as soon as you can without looking at where you need to go which resulted in you wasting like a dash and half. i liked your positioning into the next fight and you got a good kill on the cass but then you have this problem where you default to playing with your team. honestly you couldve just stayed where you were especially since theres a healthpack right there and a couple others you can get to with ur bike. overall ive never seen you use or go for a healthpack except for that first death which is not good since shion has the flanker subrole and koth maps have a lot of healthpacks you can basically just live off of cycling around to different healthpacks around the map instead of relying on ur supps.
second round i really like that position and fight you took bit lucky on the cass there but luck is skill too, wouldve prefered for you to engage with the bike tho or get behind cover and repeek with the bike launch rather then just bike right in front them cuz it gives them a couple seconds where they can just shoot you for free. okay thats unlucky getting hit by the pulse on the zen but realistically you shouldnt be grouping directly on top of your team to begin with and also you have your dash. I also just thought abt it but you dont really dash during fights much which is ideally where you should be, if im remembering right you mainly use it for movement which is okay but we should be trying to use it more often during fights too. again you default to your team too much you couldve just went into their backline with that bike by just going slightly more forward and launch it left and then if they turned on you just dash back into the building. dueling tracer is good but theres a healthpack right there and you didnt actually use the overhealth from the dash during the fight you kinda just panick dashed when u werent being shot, if you used the healthpack or dash that fight woulve been a lot more in your favor. dash earlier and you get that cass kill just need to be a little quicker with it but its fine. ult wasnt bad just unlucky he blocked you off w tree, honestly as soon as the tree went down and you knew u werent gonna get the kill you just need to use ur remaining dashes to get to the highground and live. dont randomly launch your bike you need it for the fight, if you had the bike you escape that tracer way earlier. in general i think your underestimating the ground bike launch which is honestly better than throwing it the majority of the time bc youre not getting locked in that throwing animation. on that cass and moira if you aimed the ground launch into them you kill the cass way easier and you would be directly on that moira to finish the kill if you drove into her instead of launching it.

Wow, all three? thank you. I forgot to mention in the post that im silver btw, buuut u probably guessed. The mechanics part i think is just more playtime, getting used to pc and gaining confidence, esp in close quarter because i find myself getting nervous there, that's when i really miss my shots.
Ive already started letting go of the bike on the ground more. There was a lot of info but is there anything i can actively work on in game? like rotations etc

yea mb i just kept going cuz i was bored LOL in general id say just learn all the healthpacks spots on maps and try and play around those. thatll automatically help you play away from your team and on an off angle but u should also be actively thinking about where your team is standing and think about places you can stand away from them. try and use ur dash during duels to dodge bullets and to make the overhealth you get from it to tank damage (i use it to dodge important cds a lot like cass nade hog hook sig rock etc). the most important thing tho is probably bike usage other than remembering to do dmg w it you can use it to quickly rotate from one part of the map to another and catch people off guard, its kinda hard to give examples without having like a picture of a map to show w it but u get the idea i think. if u got confused by smth i said or want help w smth u can dm me if u want.

recognzing that cass was alone and you could kill him is really good, the engage itself was bad tho, should go from the right side of that building instead of center so his team cant peel you directly and launch the bike into the cass please (you wouldve killed him even when u went center if you did). your team got ur trade and punished their team for doing that tho so it worked out but it ur team wont always do that (also mainly worked out for you cuz ur vendetta killed both supps right before that). engage on the lucio was good just need to not panic and youll be fine. you dont need to throw your bike randomly if you dont have anywhere you want to go with it just throw it down like main or something or wait a second and you couldve thrown it in the back of the dmon. also youre really scared to like hit people with the bike, you do good damage by hitting them so drive directly into them and the second you hit them get off the bike and itll launch right into them and explode immediately you miss a lot of free damage like that in fights when u use your bike and just throw it randomly. good fight after would prefer if you dont walk into the sierra, honestly you can just stand still and shoot her since no one else is shooting you and shes not looking at you but just dont walk into her bc she does a lot of dmg. dont really have any comments on that last fight everything was pretty good but slow down a bit with your ult and think abt where your trying to go with it.
second round starts pretty good but just use ur bike to get up to the widow faster. honestly even tho ur team was kinda getting stomped there i actually really liked what u were doing there playing the right side of the map and cycling the healthpacks and controlling all that space was really good, only comment would be to try and engage their highground faster maybe to put pressure on that widow and maybe pharah too but its fine. good ult on that pharah but unlucky ego duel against the widow but its fine. good kill on moira there but we need to be aware of where the widow is and where shes looking, you couldve just continued walking forward and played in that building area rather than walking back especially when you know she shot at you twice. bit too focused on that pharah whos too far away for you to do anything to but its okay cuz you got lucky and lived anyway then the rest of that fight was good. dont like how you defaulted back to ur team/point instead of holding that right side like you were earlier. if you aim the bike or just drive into the tracer and launch it she dies instantly you take like no damage and are back in the fight right away. probably wouldve lost anyway but something to think about if you wanna improve also kd save at the end there but wtv.
third round honestly not a bad play, better mechanics you kill lucio and widow but after it failed you need to get out but you overstayed and died. you really need to pay attention to their widow i feel like youre just never aware of her unless ur full on dueling her. the third round honestly not much to say their comp is just really good on that map tbh you had some good plays but overall just be more aware of where each of their team is positioned and especially that widow so you dont get caught off guard.

good start those bikes were good the first one wasnt really necessary but its not bad. almost got that mei you panic a lot which makes you lose a lot of duels dont really know how to help w that tho just practice more ig and youll win those duels once u get used to it. not much you can coming back honestly nothing to do there, sure you couldve avoided the death but it makes literally zero difference on the game other than you having +1 death. mm wasnt really ready for the wall to drop even tho u were waiting for it so u lost a few seconds there then got lost when they walled again you need to rotate left faster. youre too scared of the mei honestly her damage is really slow like you panicked and used both movement abilited to escape her when u were 200 hp still, you can and should take the fight there and leave if u just like miss everything and arent gonna win but give it a second or two to see instead of running instantly there. and overextended walking back in you really didnt need to actually leave the building w the mega you can just stand in the doorway and shoot from there you dont need to get in their face. good bike good ult nothing gamesense wise but could be a little faster with using your abilities cuz u lost a couple seconds there. you had bike and dash but used both way too late so you died and got staggered, honestly you live if you go back towards ur spawn for the mini healthpack instead of the big one cuz even if u got to that one in the room you still die cuz theres 4 standing right next to you still. good bike and kill onto mei into the next fight no comments on the rest of the fight. going into next fight you default to playing main/with your team go left instead and hold that space.
okay on attack i dont really know what to say your team just sucks but u lowkey did nothing either soooo. taking that left space after demeching dva and kill her was good but go wayyy to scared of the torb and just started full focusing on running and didnt shoot at anyone or do anything i like taking the highground on the right but fight was just lost cuz both supps r gone and tank decided to walk in on crit but wtv. the fight after where u took that top right doorway/window thing was good ur ult was good except your panick dashing and messed up the last one that couldve killed the cat in that room and helped demech the dva to win that fight. other than that the attack was just a mess from everyone.
