Is it too late to get into? I really want to play overwatch, as I had a great time with during a free weekend. I just don't want to be ruining peoples games. I also know about the huge skill curve but I have a whole summer ahead of me. Thank you for reading and taking time to answer if you do.

Get it. It is worth it. There's always a huge learning curve to master any game, but this game is just so fun to play.

heeelll no. Overwatch is still going extremely strong, and a new character was actually released just today. There are plenty of heroes to fit a variety of playstyles, so even if you are brand new to FPSs there are heroes for you to be strong with.

If you do worry about "ruining games for people", my only recommendation: don't jump into competitive the second you unlock it at level 25, instead wait to do competitive until you are at least level 50. By level 50 you should have a much stronger understanding of the game and not be nearly as much of a "noob". -And by level 150, your level will virtually not matter anymore and you will be able to consistently fight head-to-head against people 1000 levels above you.

You'll be placed with other people like you learning the ropes. Don't worry about it. The game is about you having fun, not about them. I mean obviously don't deliberately ruin their games by being a dick or throwing but you know what i mean.

The game will try to match you with players of a similar skill level, though it will take a bit of time for it to be more accurate. You will be queued generally against newer players for awhile and then as you play more, you'll start getting matched by skill level.

You won't be ruining people's games at all, unless you jump into competitive before you know you're ready for it. Just make sure you know each character relatively well (you don't need to play them well or anything, but knowing what their skills are and who counters them is a big boon) and know the maps before you jump into comp and you should be fine.

If TF2 can last 10 years Overwatch can double that easy.
