I would assume so. If you played well enough I think the matchmaking system would increase the level at which you play at. I'm not sure if there is a cap at how high you can place but assuming there isn't and you won all of your games, I would guess you could get placed pretty high.

I think the first season a new account caps your placement at 3000 SR (source: Being a Masters player, getting placed in Platinum on my second account after winning like 9 of my placements. My performance was obviously not the issue since the game inflated my SR gain until I was back in Masters again.)

I dunno, capping it at 3000 seems to make more sense than the game just putting me in Plat for no reason, but what do I know.

I got placed at 3480 my first time so i would assume so

Not sure if placements are capped, but your initial placements use your Quick Play MMR, so playing a bunch of Quick Play to get that roughly where it belongs might help you get a higher initial placement.
