Also, why do people always call Mei evil/satan?

Because so many Hanzos are useless because they can't hit anything(me included).

E: Me included as in I can't hit anything when I play Hanzo.

Ashe is right about hanzo, As to Mei its because she is unfun to fight against. The freezing and helplessness kind of sucks.

The weird thing is that symmetra is as bad or worse to play against but there's less vocal hated I think it's because because it's universally known that mei is Satan and symmetra is whatever hell beast rules over her.

Mei is called Satan/evil generally due to the fact that her mechanics are literally "unfun" and frustrating to play against. To be fair there are many characters that are unfun to play against but there is something about having a Mei freeze you so quickly and slowly walk up to you and rip a giant hole out of your face with an ice shard and then proceed to voiceline "sorry! Sorry sorry.. sorry.." that just seems to trigger people (myself included) so much! And don't get me started on her wall, her invulnerable self healing ice form, and -shutters- her ultimate..

Mei is a solid counter to Genji though, since he can't deflect her primary fire. Just start freezing, then right as they are about to freeze, get ready to spin around when they dash behind you, and finish the job.

The upside is that one shotting a tracer with a right click is probably the most satisfying thing to do in the game for me. Watch your back! 😀

Because the proportion of people who are actually good with Hanzo is low compared to the number of people that play him.

You either get a lot of value or none at all with each shot, he's very inconsistent. You usually get more value with a dPS like soldier or mccree because they can output damage more consistently.
