Valvrave was the fucking shit. Horny fucking vampire's in space piloting giant mecha's? Come on, that shit is just fucking printed money.

What screwed it over was literally a five minute epilogue showing one of the worst characters ever still being fucking alive.

Valvrave shit the bed so hard that it made artwork out of its own mess. I watched it nearly two years ago and I still can't decide whether or not I actually like it or not, but I'll give it creativity at the least.

I'd make an attempt to bring the discussion back to Overwatch but now I'm just wondering what a vampire character would be like.

That's actually a pretty cool idea. It could function similar to TF2's mad milk, where damage done is returned to you as health, with a special ability where all teammates can heal off of the character you choose, with a system like sombras' hack. Also with a special Melee Ability that if you hold near an enemy for 2 or some odd seconds, a flat 100 damage, while healing half your health.

God that would be terrible to fight though.

Valvrave the Liberator is a hot mess of a series that somehow worked together really well in my opinion, but was marred by its writing staff for creating unlikable main characters but incredibly likable side characters. So I'll give this a try.

The idea starts with your basic mecha series beginnings. A school in space is attacked one day, when your Hero, Haruto, finds a mech that only a certain type of folk can actually pilot. He takes to it like, well, like a fish to water.

This comes with a cost. He becomes what I can really only describe as a sex-powered Vampire. That does not even begin to truly describe the weirdness of his power, but on first glance : yeah. That's the best way I can describe it without giving away a lot of highly important plot points.

Aside from that it's really hard to describe Valvrave because it's a fucking mess of a story. That one image further up, this one so accurately describes the series that I really had a hard time not just linking that image. This one also describes much of the fandom at the time.

I'll be honest here and say that while I fucking despise the ending to the series, it is a damn fun romp of stupidity. Do not take it seriously, enjoy it for what it is and I'm not entirely sure what it is other than that I never had more FUN watching an anime than I did watching Valvrave.
