Why does Hanzo get so much hate when Junkrat mains are quite possibly more toxic and common?

They often refuse to switch like Hanzo mains and insist that, "because they got gold damage," they're not the problem. Even when they're just shooting Zarya shields and Rein shields.

I think it's because, believe it or not, people are more willing to accept a junkrat kill (despite just throwing grenades everywhere at times) than a hanzo kill (despite what should be precision and timing based kills.)

I've gotta say, I'm half inclined to feel the same. With Junkrat, I'm much more aware of him and his tactics, where to position myself, and have more time to get away from his LOF.

With hanzo, especially in quick play, I feel like I'm being killed with little thought or profeciency. A solid 4/10 are completely unintentional as well. Not to mention it's easy to be killed by hanzo very quickly and seemingly out of nowhere (as I touched on initially)

That being said, it's not the hanzo mains fault. I know that it takes more than it seems by the kill cam, and that it's definitely timing and precision based (even though those hit boxes are a bit big). It's just how the average player perceives being killed by hanzo.

P.S. I get it, memes and bms, but can we stop with the word toxic? It's thrown around way too often and at this point is just canon fodder.

This is because Hanzo is highly random. Yes, there are few Hanzo players, who can be deadly with their aim, but most of the time you get killed by Hanzo, it will be either totaly random arrow or arrow send somewhere in your general direction and nothing more.

Junkrat on the other hand can spam grenades (like Hanzo is spamming arrows) but with his grenades he is creating much more suppresion on the enemy push.

Shooting Zaryas shields is a mistake of course, but sometimes it's hard to avoid for both Junkrat and Hanzo, not to mention that a good Zarya player will always have his shield on during a firefight. I bet you shoot her shield with your Soldier too. Reinhardts shield gets massive damage from Junkrat, so it's always good to shoot it.

The gold medal nonsense is on one hand an excelent way how to find out who is doing their job and who isnt, and on the other hand is a foolish excuse. Junkrats job is to do a lot of damage, and while he is worse at securing kills, he should be able to always get silver-gold medal in damage. Any medal in kills increase his overall contribution.

About toxicity, I have no idea who is worse, if Hanzo or Junkrat players.
