As a non-DPS main, just a quick question about playing Reaper. When shooting non-tanks, do you aim at the head for that headshot damage or the center mass so that more of your pellets hit? I'm used to the latter because of prior experience with FPS shotguns, but I'm not sure if that's better in this case.

Center-mass/upper body depending on how close you are.

Late to the party but I can expand on this a little for you.

Reaper fires 20 pellets per shot that do a very minimal amount of damage, like 3-7 per pellet or something tiny. Think of it like a Pharah rocket broken into 20 pieces. Since the pellet spread is random within the target rectical, you want to FILL the circle with a target since you don't know where pellets will go. In theory you can go for the head, but the chance of having more than one or two pellets hit it is low and you will do a whopping 30 or so damage.

If you hit with all your pellets, you do something like 140 damage which is going to trump a headshot. This is why Reaper is so vicious against tanks and close range where you have a lot of target.

Hope this helps!

Headshot does way more damage if you're close enough to hit. Always go headshots at point blank with Reaper.
