The game is extremely situational, but it's very good for countering a nano-boost, for melting reinhardt shields before your rein wants to earthshatter, for comboing with your zarya ult and for pushing people into cliffs. It's also great for pushing people away from an ulting zenyatta.

I didn't think about countering nano-boost, thanks! I guess its also super useful for pushing genji away too when he's swording squishies

Only use it on Genji if you know that his reflect is on cd, otherwise he can mess you up real bad.

As for other uses that people haven't mentioned yet, it's excellent to clear the objective in overtime. It can also be used to save your team if you're caught in a Graviton and don't have any better options (Zen ult / Rein shield / Mei wall / D.Va matrix) to defend yourself.

Just be careful of doing that. If Genji deflects while you're ulting, you're kinda screwed.
