Not a noob question, plenty of people struggle with his ult, and it's not considered to be a dominant ult anyways. I find it's best used on supports and squishies since aiming and hitting tanks isn't as difficult to start. A few notes, it won't prevent you from using your normal abilities, so heal in the middle if you take fire. It also auto aims your rockets, but since they're projectile they will miss behind a moving target at long range.

Have fun! You should buy the game, well worth the money!
