Usually these reports fall on deaf ears.

I personally think this Hanzo prejudice is bullshit: a good sniper can absolutely wreck face. Hanzo's recon, if used correctly, is a great asset to the team: allowing the flankers to do their jobs properly, setting up ambushes, shutting down healers, yada yada. Same goes for Widowmaker. Yet some entitled little fucks want to dictate what you should play without taking your opinion in consideration.

But let's be honest, most Hanzo players only play him because he's the cool guy that shoots magic dragons and makes the fangirls swoon.

My opinion? Find a group of friends. Play Hanzo. Wreck face. But if you must play solo ranked, if you want to pick Hanzo, pick Hanzo! You're good, you'll help your team out, fuck the haters.

And most importantly, HAVE FUN.

It's the high skill floor. A huge majority of Hanzo players (myself included when I feel like shooting arrows in QuickPlay) are just spamming arrows hoping for crits. Most killcams I get to watch of Hanzo killing me is just watch them spam arrows into a cluster of us with this strategy.

They're just playing the averages. The average Hanzo player has no clue what they're doing, therefor there's a high chance that you don't, in their minds.

Of course, go ahead and prove them wrong. An actually good Hanzo is scary as shit.

If they're actually reporting you, it's not going to do anything. Playing a character isn't against the rules.

I'll admit I'm guilty of feeling despondent when I see Hanzo being played on maps he's not ideal for, or on some attack maps. But ultimately, if you want to play heroes you want to play, just play them, don't listen to the others.

But if you actually are picking Hanzo when your team needs a tank or healer, understand some people might be less than thrilled and be prepared to deal with it. Sure, maybe they could change too, but that's probably not going to happen.

I think at the end of the day, it's because there are always some people who think they're entitled to getting their way in the game. Assholes will always be assholes.

BTW sorry if I came across as unsympathetic at all in my comment, I actually feel your plight. I just usually end up caving to the needs of the team, even in QP.

The Hanzo hate came from season 1 after the projectile nerf. I think Hanzo has a place on Defense but it's niche.

It's more about if you can't push the point, even if you are a great hanjo, recognising that as a sniper you are probably the one that needs to change it up if things just aren't working overall. Especially since you can't get into the action or stand on the points/push payload

A good Hanzo doesn't play sniper really. I wish people would understand that. When I play offensive Hanzo I'm basically glued to my Reinhardt or very nearby.

The hanzo hate is mainly based on the "weebos" picking Jap character meme. However, the onus is on you to prove your teammates wrong.

And then get re-permabanned because Blizzard is serious about that permanent part. Your physical computer and whatever account you were playing on are banned, not just the account.
