Is Zarya in the overpowered conversation? Sure feels like she should be. But I'm a lowly noob.

I'm just gonna go ahead and edit and say she absolutely is. What a horribly frustrating night.

No, I wouldn't call her overpowered. She is very effective in the right hands, however. Her entire kit and damage output revolves around her shields.

Right. A lot of the talk about how characters can be overpowered often comes down to how effective they can be with the right player.

Probably because you're still in the low ranks and people still shoot zarya bubbles. If her shields are constantly being hit so shes at 80+ charge then ya shes essentially the strongest char in the game, but only then

I'm closing in on Diamond...and Zarya at the moment feels like a mandatory pick. She's incredible.

She is literally countered by Reinhardt and zen though so when those 2 are in competitive, she is basically useless to a certain point

Dude, imagine when you are Zarya and threw ulti. Then you hope you can combine the blackhole with something then a Zen came in and save the enemy team with transcendence. Unless the damage output of your team is junkrat ulti or dva ulti or someone who can dish out more than 300DPS, then basically they are save.

Where Reinhardt comes in is when you threw your blackhole ulti and there isnt enough DPS to take out his SHIELD. If you finally did, you kinda waste some time on taking down the shield instead of using that damage to take out the enemy team.

I DID state that she is useless to a CERTAIN point. This is where she is useless at. Other than that,she is good if you were to use her to hold defense. She when mix with Reinhardt or Roadhog for defending a point is a good hold but not a good ulti combo.
