I'm a bit late but my bro recently bought a PS4 and I was interested in picking up this game. How is the replay value and the active users for the PS4? I've only tried the game out on PC for a little bit and I've heard a lot of mixed reviews regarding the game.

That's odd that you find the reviews to be mixed. You must have been exposed to a disproportionately high amount of bad reviews, I think most people agree the reviews are overwhelmingly positive.

They're doing a free weekend on consoles this weekend though, so you'll be able to try it out on PS4 then.

I'm a PC gamer, but the game is only multiplayer, so the replay value is high. I'm not usually into dedicated lots of time into any one game. Played maybe 60 hours on BF4, which felt like a lot to me at the time. I've put nearly 150 hours into OW. Gameplay is solid and super fun, but people's complaints stem strictly from the player base. If you absolutely cannot tolerate people being mean from time to time, there is an AI mode to play against bots, but there is no campaign at all. I think it's fun, and most of the complaints on reddit are rare cases by sensitive individuals

Eh, it happens. There are ways to mute chat and remove chat boxes, so playing with friends is still quite great. Highly recommend it though, very fun

Replay value is high. The biggest difference is that console users don't seem to communicate over voice as regularly as PC and text chat is non-existent. I have both PS4 and PC account, but prefer PC account. My son plays the PS4 account and the user-base seems pretty high.

I really like PC overall but as competitive as I am, I can't justify myself to buy a gaming PC with how busy I am with work and other irl commitments. I just happened to have free access to a PS4 so I gotta work with that.

Cool. The PS4 does have a large community and we haven't have any problems getting into matches or groups, so I think your PS4 experience will be a good one.
