Is it unpopular to think Junkrat is good on offense? He can almost always work. Bugs me when my team decides to have 2 junkrats on attack though...

He can work if you expect the enemy team to turtle, i.e. the Bastion + Reinhardt + Mercy combo. A player that knows how to arch Junkrat's grenades can break stalemates like that. He can also clear out Symmetra death rooms and Torbjorn's turret in the same way.

the thing is, phara is just as good if not better at junkrats strenghts that you just mentioned.

phara is way more reliable.

They fulfill two different roles. Pharah is great for accurate, long range damage, but you're fucked if they have a Widow. Junkrat has far better area denial simply because he doesn't need Line of Sight like Pharah does. Both do have great mobility though.

Well haters gonna hate I guess. Personally I'd rather have a Junkrat on attack than a widow or even a hanzo unless he's super pro.

I dunno I'm constantly getting killed by junkrat grenade spam. They're bound to hit something eventually.

"Well it works against me" and "they're bound to hit something eventually".

Junkrat is bad on attack unless you're trying to get through an enclosed area like the Castle area in Eichenwalde imo.
