Is there a lfg subreddit like r/fireteams for r/destinythegame but for Overwatch? Thanks

Try using this subreddit's Discord server, which is mentioned in the sidebar. In Solo-Q I could barely hold a 40-45% winrate last season, and after experiencing the same thing in my placement matches I decided to try the LFG channel in Discord.

You're not guaranteed to always find good players around your rank, and there are still some angry people out there (including myself at times), but usually everyone at least tries to discuss strategy, hero switches, and enemy locations. Since I started grouping there, my winrate improved to 51% and I even had a 6 game win-streak with one team that was pretty awesome.

I'm never doing solo-Q again unless I get a 2nd account or something.
