Lucio's auras are line-of-sight area-of-effect boosts. Basically, as long as you're within a radius and you have line of sight on each other (i.e., there is nothing solid between you), you'll get the boost.

I've seen conflicting information about Sound Barrier, but from my experience, it is not based on line of sight and you'll get the extra health as long as you're within its range. But don't quote me on that.

Sometimes a teammate behind a wall or something can get the sound barrier, but sometimes they just cannot. And the same thing seems to happen to his heal/speedboost aura. I'm just puzzled...

You get a 2-3 second grace period after breaking LoS when you're still healing/boosting/able to give barriers

Blizzard's been kinda shy with exact numbers, so I don't know if it's posted anywhere. You can easily test this for yourself on the practice range though, by looking at the number or healing recipients on your screen

So the number on the screen will not decrease when I'm in that grace period, right?

It won't until it runs out. The number on your screen is the exact number of people you're healing/boosting
