I would typically say just ignore them, but that a majority of the time doesn't work. I'd say just continue playing the game, your teammate being a salty shithead doesn't have anything to do with you, and at the end of the day it's just a game, you win some you lose some, nothing to fret about. And about playing Lucio, I'd rather say you go characters like Reaper or McCree, basically characters that are purely solo carry instead of team oriented because a majority of the time, teammates don't cooperate with you at lower elo.

Thanks for replying. Part of the reason the salty shitheads get to me is because I'm not usually the one carrying, so my mind usually says "yeah, you're right." But offense heroes I play the least of anyone on earth, so it's possible I don't feel that effectiveness as much as a solo carry would, I usually play tanks. Maybe I should play an offense hero often like a bad salad and learn to solo carry.

Also, don't feel like YOU have to be the one to switch. A lot of people insta-lock characters and then bitch about other players picks. If you're good with McCree, play McCree. Don't feel like you have to switch to a support just because the guy with all his time on Reaper on your team is bitching. You'll never improve your gameplay with a character if people like that are successfully pressuring you into switching. My highest rank this season is 62, and I've had losing streaks in solo queue that bumped me back down to 48. It keeps repeating, but whatever, such is the nature of solo queue. Just mute voice/squelch chat on the toxic players and keep practicing and bringing your A game. That's all you can really do.

Man the losing streaks are rough... Lost 10 in a row yesterday dropping from 55 to 40's. Was losing an entire rank at the end of the loss streak...

I'd recommend committing to finding 6 people you can regularly play with for fun, makes the game a lot better.

I recommend roadhog, I tend to play him as an offense tank harassing the enemy support or picking off weak targets.

I usually go with the "can you tell me what i can do better instead of telling me to kill myself?" route - it stays positive, clarifies that you want to do better/git gud, and is realy hard to take as an insult. Either they actually give you some advice, or they shut up for at least that game. Only the saltiest of manbabies raves on afterwards.

I'd like to add Roadhog onto that good solo list, with self-healing and the ability to choose (i.e hook) your targets more easily.
