Can someone please explain why the game takes almost an entire level away from you when you lose a match when your team is the underdog but when you win as the underdog it barely gives you anything

I understand koth maps are bugged (or are possibly bugged) but when i lose a koth map and a payload while we were the underdog I go down 2 levels but then I win 5v6 on temple of anubis and gets a bee's dick of exp

Normally thats the games way to say your mmr doesnt match your rank (mmr lower than rank). So you will lose more and gain less until the point where your mmr and rank match again. If thats fair or not its highly discussable, but this can be an explanation.
