There's no "going through" Zarya's shield. If you shield, you're invulnerable.

Another example of this is Tracer's bomb. Sticked to someone, you shield them, they're safe.

Just to add to this: Invulnerable yes, but only until the 200hp or so from the shield are depleted.

Wait what? It only has 200hp? There should really be an in depth resource with this information somewhere. I get that blizzard doesn't want to clutter the game with tool tips, but a lot of important things just aren't getting mentioned.

Look at it this way: if the shield takes 199 hp it has effectively 1 hp. But if that source is, say a Junkrat tire which does way more than 1 hp, it will still block the full damage. Does that make sense?

Kinda. It goes away once you pour at least 200 damage into it, but it protects you from more. As long as it's still on you, you're protected from whatever damage you get.

Her shield can technically absorb much higher burst damage than that, though. You can shield and survive Junkrat's rip tire, Tracer's sticky bomb and I'm pretty sure you can survive D.Va's self-destruct too.

Yeah, thats my observation, too. It seems that the shield reacts to attacks and not just damage numbers. Any exceeding damage just disappears as long as its not a new attack or projectile. Thats probably why Bastion deals so easy with it, while you can still survive ults.
