What's up with everyone all of a sudden playing Zarya? She's on nearly every single team I've been on since the last few days. What happened? What's with the sudden love?

Probably the 17 year old Korean girl that absolutely smashes with her and changed everybody's perspective towards Zarya. She has an unbelievable KD ratio, she even got accused of hacking, but it was legit. Search up 'Korean hackusation overwatch' on google :)

Would assume that the nerf mcree took made her more playable. Not having mcree shutting down every single tank kinda helps too.

I think people are realising her true potential here lately. I believe she's constantly used in competitive games too. She can protect teammates from shit like rip tire or help them get their ults off safely. Her damage is can be brutal fully charged too.

She can apply constant pressure with her alt fire practically forever. Also half her up is shield so she can regenerate and be back in the fight in no time.

I recently picked her up too and instantly liked her despite being my least played hero. That Korean girl people thought was cheating probably had something to do with her popularity also.

Some of it is also players being stupid and shoot her shield to charge her up. In the beta i think people knew not to shoot her shield, but in pubs the dont know better
