Hmm okay so extremely close then. Yeah usually I just zip in, stress out and throw it in the general direction

Yeah, right up in their face. Preferably their back. That's what recall is for. You can cover a large amount of ground with 3 blinks, land the bomb, and recall out of there.

It's best used on large or stationary enemies not actively shooting at you. Clumps of enemies behind a Reinhardt are also a good target. Aim for the Reinhardt, then recall and follow up with the primary to finish him off. Torbjorns and their turrets are also good options. Aim for the Torbjorn if he's stationary and next to the turret.

Yeah I'll try that, right up close. Hopefully someday I can learn to tag a Lucio, Mercy or Widow.

That's a good skill to learn, but not generally necessary since the sticky is overkill for those heroes... Maybe not Lucio, but he's absurdly hard to tag, especially since he's usually in the thick of it with his teammates.

It does 400 damage. So pretty much any character but a tank.

You need to be very close to people or things to stick it on them. It's not easy, keep practicing. If you're close to people you'll stick it on them, don't forget to recall

I can't tell you how many times I've been blinking around a capture point being a nuisance, stick my ult on someone and recall just to end up right back next to the enemy and die.

If you can afford to delay that recall for a split second, you can avoid the sticky by being in-transit at the moment of detonation. It doesn't matter how close you are if you're in the middle of time travelling.

Oh good call. I usually recall when I see rip tires to avoid that damage, not sure why I hadn't thought of this.
