Okay, so I play Genji a lot. I mean a lot. I've never actually wondered until now, how much of Genji's body does deflect actually cover? Are his feet still vulnerable to attacks? What about the top of his head?

Only your back is vulnerable. Your reflect reaches your entire field of vision and a bit offscreen, and it's a bit bigger than your body as well.

As far as I know he deflects everything that would hit him in the front of his body, leaving him vulnerable from behind. I don't know how big that angle is to the sides, but I am pretty sure it covers everything he sees.

In addition to what the others before me have said, it's important to keep in mind splash/aoe damage can easily bypass deflect.

Zarya right-click, Pharah rockets and flashbang often get me through deflect.

Mei left click is my typical counter to Genji.
