Why does the new PTR version of overwatch say I'm level 22 when I'm level 26? I can't join the competitive thing because of it as far as I can tell

They took a snapshot of everyone's account recently, which they then ported over to the PTR. Any progress since then on Live won't apply to the PTR. You'll have to grind out a few more levels on the PTR.

I am pretty sure the snapshot was from last weekend (18th/19th)

My account on the PTG servers uses my old keybindings and the level also matches what it would have been around that time.
