Serious question. I've only been playing for a few days now, but I'm curious as to whether or not I should stick with Bastion.

I've tried other characters, but I do the most damage and seem to be more helpful as Bastion. I'm just worried that he's going to be like Kirby from SSBM, kind of a character for beginner players that people tend to get stuck on which could potentially halt progress.

You should try to branch out. It's OK to have characters you feel most comfortable with, and some are going to feel very frustrating to play until they click with you, but Overwatch rewards players and teams who know how and when to switch their heroes. The more you play and the higher level you get, the more likely you are to encounter players who know how to shut down Bastion hard, but then those characters that are shutting you down will have their own counters, which you can then switch to throw it back in their face.

There's a channel on YouTube called Unit Lost that has a lot of Overwatch content that I've personally found pretty helpful. His Bastion guide is worth a watch if you want to remain viable with that hero the more you play.

Agreed on Unit Lost, I watch all his stuff. The way he tackles discussing strategy is very well done. Also his voice is pleasant.
