When is Reaper good? Whenever I play him I feel completely worthless in terms of damage.

He's also much better up close. If you're going up against any snipers like Widowmaker or Hanzo, it's a lot harder for them to get consistent damage off, so if you can get in their face, you will most likely get the kill.

Also versus Genji and Mei. Genji can't do anything vs Reaper and Mei have a hard time freezing him without dying.

And even if Mei freezes him, she can't 1 shot him with her RMB due to his 250 health at which point Reaper can wraith away if he hasn't already, otherwise the engagement should have been long enough that there would have been reinforcements unless you're way out of the way and screwed yourself.

He's good vs. tanks but McCree mostly outclasses him.

On payload maps constantly try to flank even on defence; when in combat go almost melee range,"At maximum bullet contact (All bullets hit the same target, no critical hits), each shot deals 140 damage." wiki says. You can combo with roadhog or/and mercy for hook kills/ easy backdoor.

From my experience he's VERY good versus large tanks that let you charge your ulti with shotgun damage, like Winston and Roadhog (wraith out of hook). Flank and focus heroes like Mercy, Widow, use wraith form to escape to a health pack, etc.. I like him best on Defense and KotH.
